Careful, not recommendable!

This is not slander, it is merely an indication for other holidaymakers:
- house is in very poor condition
- many lights (inside and outside) not working
- TV did not work
- four of the eight bedrooms are located in the basement
- jacuzzi has too much chlorine
- cushions were totally moldy
- porch cushions were filled with water
- porch does not look like in pictures
- owner works very unprofessional (not responding does not help, want not pay
deposit)
- everywhere are scattered tools
Thankfully the Hamptons have nicer parts. Not again!
Owner's Response: Not only is this slander, it is an out right lie. This "guest" did not mention that they completely breeched the lease in more ways thn I can mention. They housed more than double the amount of people the lease was written for and threw a huge party/wedding. The amount of trash and air mattresses left were stagering. They went into my private storage rummaged around and drank from my private liquor, which they were asked not to touch. Additional damage was sustained to the property both inside and out. This owner has already provided full documentation of the breech of this lease to both Homeaway and the tenant long before this negative review.
As far as the house being in "poor" condition that is laughable. The porch has been signifacntly updated. (However, I suppose if you were looking to set it up for you wedding the seating is configured differently!) Additionally, this tenant saw the house IN PERSON prior to taking occupancy.
There were 2 light bulbs that blew! And yes, when a guest chooses to leave the cushions out in the rain, they get wet. You can control the amount of chlorine in the hot tub yourself. Tools? I have no idea what that is about.
This owner is also willing to provide Homeaway with an email from the tenant letting us know that they "overall had a good time"! This negative review is posted simply as a reaction due to the fact that security is being kept due to the many ways the lease was breeched and property damage.
This tenant knew that if they would have been honest with me, I would not have rented the house to them.
To any Homeaway property owners, please feel free to contact me. I will provided you with information on these tenants. In all the years I have rented, I have never had this problem.
