It was these principles that guided the inspiration into the form the property assumes today. Nature takes center stage as the Sanctuaire harmoniously balance the surrounds of the lake and the wooded 1 1/2 acre property. The landscaped grounds allow for recreation, reflection, and inspiration.

Sanctuaire encompasses the home inviting you to enjoy hiking, biking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing right out the front door. The yard is large (not fenced), landscaped with native plants and in the heart of wine country.
Inside this home all the walls are cedar and there is a striking stone fireplace making the ambiance warm and cozy. The kitchen is open to the living and dining area and is fully equipped for any family meal.
Architecturally exciting and beautifully furnished the ultimate in privacy and luxury. 'Sanctuaire” offers a spectacular retreat with 2 BR, 2 BA, and a *loft.
The loft is a partial second floor, reached by a staircase, with a wood-burning fireplace, all leading to an incredible view of the lake. This area provides a television with a comfortable viewing area of the lake as well as the third sleeping space with two twin beds. The kitchen is modern, with every convenience. The house is replete with wood paneling, hardwood floors, oriental rugs, and original art.
One Queen floor futon and Queen roll out bed in the loft allow sleeping for an additional two people, so the house sleeps 8 at capacity. Also- the house is childproofed and we have two cribs!
'Sanctuaire' with approx. 2000 square feet of living space provides for an open and airy retreat, three skylights, and a panoramic view through walls of glass, all giving a tree house ambiance. This exceptional home also features wool carpeting, a beautiful stone fireplace in the living room, and a variety of first class amenities. Be surrounded by fine bed linens.
The master bedroom, with wall-to-wall windows overlooking the lake, has a King-sized bed with Sterling and Foster mattress, and a magnificent master bath with a deep tub Jacuzzi. There is a separate guest room with a queen bed and its own bathroom.
A secret path from the house to the lake leads to your use of own pier (and the use of your own 2 boats) and the lake frontage.
On more than a forested acre surrounded on two sides by the bohemian groves, with extensive decks, and landscaping designed for year-round beauty. This unique retreat features a spectacular hot tub/spa for 6 that overlooks the lake. This hot tub is state-of-the-art with fiber optic lights surrounding the entire spa that light up the steam and the water in a variety of different colors for your complete relaxation and enjoyment.
The ideal place is for four-season fun as we are close to several mountains for ski weekends and winter retreats. The lake, when frozen, can be wonderful for snow shoeing and/or skating.
Canoe and rowboat are available, free of charge. FREE WIFI, LONG/Local Calls, and Laundry are FREE (includes laundry soap and fabric softner) for all our guests. This beautiful home is secluded, yet only minutes drive to the local wineries, Lake Michigan, Union Pier, St. Joseph, Warren Dunes, Grand Mere State Park, Public Golf courses and bicycle and hiking trails and 45 minutes to Saugatuck! The decks have an abundance of outdoor furniture, an outdoor fireplace, and lots of sunshine.
