Very dirty, the condo needs much work. When we turned the bed down on the master bed the sheets were at the foot of the bed, leaving me to wonder when the sheets were changed last. We washed the bath linens before using the, and cleaned the shower. Clumps of black hair in the floor. The bathroom was dirty, no molding around the floors, the steps are in poor repair. The internet didn't work for the first 2 days. No cable in the bedrooms. The owner actually came in the condo the second or third day of the vacation to show the condo to someone else. When I emailed her to let her know we were leaving early, she agreed the place wasn't very clean and offered to refund part of my monies, however I received a email later saying that since I had turned the ac down to 64 (by mistake if I did because there was no back light on the thermostat and 1/2 the light bulbs were burned out)she had decided not to refund any of my monies. Then she questioned my character when I told her I would be posting a review. On the bright side the pool is very nice and we did see lots of dolphins playing in the river!!!!
Owner's Response: I really enjoy meeting the people from various part of this country and trying to make their vacation an enjoyable one. However there are some travelers no matter how hard I try, I can not please them. Brenda stayed at my condo from July 16 until July20th. She was supposed to have stayed the night of the 20th and left on 10:00amon July 21st. After staying for four days, she sent me an e:mail stating we are leaving a day early as the condo was very dirty, etc. Also that I would not be shocked at the review I post and also she felt that the decent thing would be to refund part of the monies. Really it was like I was being blackmailed and rather than have a bad review, I was considing refunding part of her money until I went into the condo which was freezing whereas she had set the air conditioner at 64 degreesand it was actually freezing in the unit and it had been like that for 24 hours. No one else including me had trouble reading the thermostat to set it probably. I spent 6 to 8 hours cleaning the condo the day before they arrived. The sheets and linens had been washed. I put new sheets on the bed in the master bedroom but did not tuck in the top sheet. I cleaned all three bathrooms and back when the condos were built they did not put molding around the floors. I had Comcast internet the first two days they were thereand Pam the former guest got into it and was willing to help these guests get into it butthey never called her back. I have Directv in one of the bedrooms and a converter box in the other one. I actually did come in to the condo on Thursday to let the tech from AT&T in and to show the property to someone else who wanted to see it before renting it. The condo was a total mess with food laying around, all three TVs were on, all lights were on,etc. The AT&T tech had to go to each telephone jack to make repairs to them so I could provide the internet and the lady did rent the place for a future date. I never agreed with Brenda that the place was dirty when she moved in. I decided to have the bad review written and stand my grounds. Why any one would stay at a place for four days and decide when they got there on the first day the place was dirty, I do not know. It is my desire that future guests will enjoy their stay at my condo as pass guests have done.
