There is direct access from front door to Bartram Trail, accessing the AT six miles to the northeast, or hike to the lake where pontoon boat rentals are available. If you have a canoe or boat, a public ramp is located at the foot of our mountain. Great wildlife viewing may include black bear, coyote and bobcat. Unsurpassed birding can be had right from the deck. Full powered telescope to set up on the deck for all those starry nights. Raft the Nantahala, Ocoee, Chattooga and more nearby. Lots of mountain biking options. This is the perfect base for the outdoor enthusiast! The nearby communities of Murphy, Andrews, Franklin and Dillsboro offer great shopping opportunities for antiques and original art.
