This superbly located apartment is beautifully designed to be all that you need whilst staying in London. The living room is spacious with two floor to ceiling windows overlooking Victorian street lamps on our very quiet street. The property has been beautifully rennovated - please see photos.
The living room leads onto the small kitchen. Plenty of work surface and cupboards mean you have everything you need for your stay. There is one double bedroom with a beautiful view over the garden (sadly no access) where one can hear the birds chirping. There is also an ensuite bathroom (with shower and WC).
The apartment is the first floor of a Grade II listed townhouse is set in a conservation area of Georgian London and whilst very quiet, the busy and vibrant neighborhoods of Islington and Clerkenwell are just five minutes away, offering theatres, cinemas, a fantastic range of shops, bars and restaurants. With Kings Cross tube also only a few minutes walk away this is the ideal hub for almost anywhere in London.

We bought the flat from our neighbors this year and have recently renovated the hallway to both our apartment and this rental one. We run a cookery school from home so you could always decide to also do a cookery class whilst in town!.

We live in the flat below this property and absolutely love this area. It is so quiet with a village feel yet is very easy to get to and is central enough that you can decide to walk everywhere. Our local areas of Angel is bustling with bars and restaurants and shops. We also have a park nearby with excellent facilities for kids.
The apartment is ideally suited to 2 people. We love the Georgian features of the living room, the quiet bedroom and light and breezy feel of the flat. For the winter we have a log burner in the living room making it totally cozy and welcoming to come back to.
This one bedroom flat is located on a quiet, residential street, on the second floor of a 3 unit building. There is a spacious living room/dining room that has a tiny, yet functional kitchen. No stove or oven, but there is a hot plate, and a great expresso machine. The flat has a washing machine, but no dryer, but there is a clothes rack. The bathroom is remodeled, and has a nice stall shower with unlimited hot water. The bedroom was quiet, and the bed comfortable. You are 10 minutes walk from The Angel Tube Stop on the Northern line and the same distance from the Kings Cross Station on the Picadilly line. Plus, there are busses everywhere, as well as cabs, etc. Highly recommended.
I stayed in this flat for an extended period of time while working in the London area. It was the perfect size for me and had all the features that I needed for my stay. This flat was also absolutely beautifully decorated and convenient for everything to see and do in the London area. You could not ask for a better location, many sights of London are easily walkable and you are right in the middle of a great transport network. Though I found it hard for me to leave Islington because everything is right there! The flat was so cozy, comfortable and light it was too tempting to spend the day relaxing in the bed looking out the back window over the beautiful gardens.
I also loved how this location made me want to explore parts of London that I had never gone to before, like the Spitalfields Markets and the City. Most importantly, I felt like part of the neighborhood, going to the daily street markets and dining with the locals on Upper Street. This flat is easily going to be my favorite place to stay in London!
We stayed at Emily and John's flat for two weeks when we first moved to London and were looking for a flat. Emily greeted us on our arrival to help us settle in and provide lots of useful information about the area. Throughout our stay John and Emily were beyond gracious hosts - helped us acclimate to life in London, provided lots of local knowledge and were there all the time to answer our questions.
The flat itself was also very comfortable though somewhat small. We were just two people so it was perfectly suitable and really fit our needs as a home base as we were exploring the city. It was very convenient to several tubes and bus lines and in a really cute area of London.
Also - the flat is kept really well. The bed is SUPER comfortable and the living room area is perfect for vegging out. I would HIGHLY recommend this flat for any couple or single person coming to London and will be suggesting it as a place to stay for my friends and family when they come to visit us.
What a lovely flat with lots of charm. The living room floor to ceiling windows and classic decor provided a very inviting atmosphere for our morning cups of tea and late night chats. The flat was brilliantly quiet for London and quite comfortable. The location was great, and we enjoyed exploring a part of London that we had not previously been to, particularly enjoying the local restaurants and shops of Exmouth market. Our only suggestion was that the kitchen could use a proper stove/oven, but we were able to cook up what we needed with the hotplate and other utensils. We'd definitely consider staying here again when visiting London!
This cozy flat was perfect for our week in London. Convenient to tube, bus and easy walks to lots of great restaurants & shops. Neighborhood was safe and colorful and not snooty. The flat itself was comfortably appointed. I might have liked more kitchen to be able to actually cook a meal but, with some planning and the benefit of prepared food from Sainsbury, dinner could be prepared. We would not only recommend this property, we'd stay again! Our hosts were super and we were very happy to meet them.
We stayed at the flat for a week in June and were so thrilled. It is impeccable! Gorgeously decorated and yet not intimidating. Completely welcoming and comfortable. We could not have asked for better! Thank you, Emily. Hope to stay here again sometime!
