Imagine yourself in a hot tub, just after dark, with your loved ones, gazing across the sound at the city lights and up through the trees into the starry sky. Or, enjoy a roaring beach fire in the fire pit out on the beach right in front of the house. We'll have the graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows ready for you to make s'mores.
Enjoy a spectacular sunrise, sipping a hot cup of coffee while taking a walk on the beach and picking up shells and driftwood left behind by the tides. Be sure to have your binoculars with you. The gray whales pass by right in front of the house, and the eagles are nesting close by in the trees. You'll think you're dreaming.
The Lennox propane stove will keep you toasty warm on those cool evenings when you curl up with a good book or watch your favorite movie on DirecTV. This unique getaway includes one bedroom with a queen bed, one bedroom with a double bed and a sleeping loft with two twin beds. Towels and all bedding are provided. The Bungalow has a modern kitchen, complete with cooking and serving utensils, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher and washer and dryer. There's a gas grill on the large deck, ready for barbecuing those fish you caught at one of the three local lakes within 15 minutes from the front door of the house. This is the perfect vacation getaway for fun and relaxation all year 'round. It's a quick getaway that's not so far away.

For me there aren't enough hours in the day. I'm interested in so many things, and I don't want to miss an opportunity. I have a full-time job selling real estate and I have several rentals to take care of. I enjoy staying busy.
Julie purchased this bungalow in 1995
I've learned from owning a gift shop in Langley and being in sales, that it gives me pleasure meeting new people and showing them this beautiful island. I'm like a walking 'chamber of commerce'.
The Beach Bungalow is very open and bright with a killer view. From the moment you walk in the front door, your cares fall away and you feel like you've found your place to relax and unwind.
We have now stayed at this home for two years in a row when attending an annual event in Langley, WA, which is just a few minutes' drive up the road. The space is accommodating for meal preparation and eating, the wifi works, and being able to include our dog makes it great. Julie is a great communicator and makes sure the home is fresh and clean every time.
Staying in this great house to celebrate my 60th birthday made me feel 40 again! Add in a Seahawks victory watched on the big TV with a waterfront backdrop and things couldn't be much better (unless I was 40 again). Thanks Julie.
It is never easy to travel with a 4 year old and a 2 year old, but this home was truly perfect! The loft with twin beds had kids books and toys, lots of kid movies too. We visited in late November so it was too chilly to take advantage of the kayaks and hot tub, but we are already planning to come back in warmer weather! Even in the winter though, we had a wonderful getaway for our family. Highly recommended!
My wife and I came here on a Friday after the long grind a city can put on you. When we first arrived, the house was warm, bright, and immaculate. As the other ferry travelers were still heading to there destinations, we were already settled in. The places to explore and activities to partake in are endless. It's a fishing paradise for fresh or saltwater, all within minutes! The house is beautiful but not pretentious. It is set up for fun! Hot tub, free standing stove, kayaks and much more. And the best part of all was the kindness and generosity of the owner! If only we could stay forever. Unfortunately not now, but maybe someday!
We wanted a to get away for a girls weekend but didn't want to drive very far - the Beach Bungalow was the perfect answer ! It's my new "happy place" ! There's nothing like enjoying your morning coffee on the beach (only steps away) watching the ferries come and go. The bungalow is very clean, and so comfortable it really felt like home. We didn't have to drive far to Langley for shopping or wine tasting. The view from the hot tub was awesome. The owner has decorated the place perfectly, and even had the makings for s'mores at the fire pit. We also loved the bottle of Whidbey Is. wine. All 4 of us wished we had more time here. Thank you so much !
We stayed here for the Labor Day weekend. This cute bungalow is literally right at the ferry. It made for some interesting watching but it felt exposed. The neighbors were great and it is a good point to explore the southern part of Whidbey.
The house was well appointed and the owner was great to work with. The living room lacked comfortable chairs to read in. The loft upstairs was great for the kids (but not recommended for really young children due to the spiral staircase). The hot tub and the kayaks were enjoyed.
