Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

You will love our Birdhouse, The neighborhood is a lovely Maple tree lined street. There is a brick patio for our guest to enjoy. You are welcome to have a cookout or slip away reading a booking in the chaise lounge chair. Or just watching the passers by on their way to watch a Lake Mi sunset.

We call our flat the "Birdhouse" It is amazing to look out into the tree tops. We have a kitchen with dishwasher microwave stove & frig. The living room is a nice size with a little nook for dinning or family crafts, board games. Downstairs there is a bedroom with a king size bed and TV. Up the spiral staircase you will fine the loft with 3 double beds. There also is a pac & play crib.

The bathroom with a shower is on the main floor.

There is storage in the garage for all of you needs.

Delightful summer stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Birdhouse. It is a bit cuter than the pictures reflect. For a beach house, it was very comfortable and attractive. We had lots of local family and friends come to see us while we were visiting from out-of-state, and we were felt fine about receiving guests here. The location is simply primo for walking to the beach or into "downtown" Frankfort. It was so relaxing, beautiful, and restful. It was very private and quiet in the Birdhouse. The options of open windows and fans, or AC kept us very comfortable at all times. We cooked a lot, and for many people, and found the set-up to be very good. All photos are accurate, the actual space is just a bit nicer than they reflect. Our hosts were gracious and even gifted us with some local corn they weren't going to be able to use... onto the grill it went!

The stairs were difficult for some of our family, and a little tricky for the very little kids, but it was perfect for our immediate family. For some reason, we were never able to get the wireless internet to work on our laptop or iPhone, but we didn't miss it; it was a WONDERFUL vacation. Thank you!

Heavenly Vacation

The description of this absolutely cozy apartment is more than accurate. From the moment you open the door & walk into the air conditioned, beautifully decorated , very comfortable & spotlessly clean "Birdhouse"- ahh...it's time to relax for a wonderful week ! I hesitate to recommend this Get-Away too much, in fear that my week will be taken!!
Lee Mix has everyhing you will need in the kitchen .
What made our trip so special was the nice company of the owners-Rog & Lee.
We fell in love with Frankfort & can't wait to return. All the people we met are genuinely friendly & eager to make you feel at home.
Our 30th Wedding Anniversary was sooo memorable!!
p.s. We brought our own bikes & enjoyed cruising around the neighborhood, beach, and harbor.

Great Place for Budget Minded Vacation

We stayed here in July, 2010. There was a cancellation and we booked the place immediately for the July 4th week!
The Birdhouse is walking distance to Lake MI and downtown Frankfort.
This place has location, location, location!!!!
If you do not mind climbing upstairs to the Birdhouse then this is the place for you!
The beds were great to sleep on! The linens are provided and they do have wifi and ac.
It is booked all summer all the time!!
This is a great place if you are on a tight budget, but want to be near the beach.
Lee and her husband are very charming and her husband is a great cook!
Enjoy!

Perfect for our needs!

We came up north hoping for warm weather...but we know how Michigan can be in June:) So we stayed indoors for much of our trip and we absolutely loved the Birdhouse. We were able to watch DVDs & relax with plenty of space. We found the beds comfy, the whole apartment clean and quiet and our hosts to be kind as well. We would recommend this place to others and will be back next year with the kids. More than worth the money we spent!!

An adorable, cheerful, and bright place to stay a short walk from the beach and downtown. We have been staying here every summer since 2007 and the only reason I hesitate to write a review is because I'm afraid it will get all booked up! The owners are lovely people and the flat has everything you need for a lovely week in beautiful Frankfort: kitchen tools, board games, plenty of beds upstairs, DVD player, etc. What a gem.
