Great first trip to Maine!

My husband and I rented this cabin, via the Internet, for a first-time visit to Maine. We wanted to be fairly near Belfast and Acadia AND near a Y with an indoor pool (my husband swims on their Masters team and wanted to be able to practice). The ad for this cabin stating that it had 2 kayaks sealed the deal for me!
The cabin had everything we needed, and more. Well furnished, very clean, a lot of thoughtful touches, loads of books, puzzles, etc. (I found myself almost hoping for a rainy day so I could do a puzzle!) Very completely equipped kitchen, loads of nice towels, sheets, etc. It was only about 45 minutes from Bar Harbor, an hour from Belfast, andCastine/Stonington/Deer Isle were nearby. There was a good grocery store in town (Hannafords), as well as a Reny's (a Maine store we'd never heard of). We like to eat breakfast out-the Riverside Cafe, Martha's Diner and Sylvias were all good.
The lake was lovely (although it was pretty windy during our stay, so kayaking was not what I'd hoped for). The cabin was very private, while at the same time very convenient to town.
We visited the library in town several times for wireless access, which was fast and free.
Would I go back? Definitely!!
