Perfect apartment while visiting Sydney

This apartment far exceeded my expectations. It is a clean, beautiful apartment in a wonderful neighborhood. My husband & I (and our 3 children ages 8,11 & 14) enjoyed not just the apartment, but the location. After sightseeing in the busy city, it was wonderful to come back to such beautiful surroundings. There are trails to walk all along the Sydney harbor, right out the apartment door. The apartment itself had everything we needed for our stay (we stayed 16 nights). The homeowner was wonderful. She was a great help before and during our visit. She even provided many books and brochures on all of the things to do in and around Sydney.
If you stay in this apartment you will not need to rent a car. The public ferry and buses in Sydney are clean and very easy to use. They run about every 20 minutes and are always on schedule. We bought weekly combination bus/ferry passes (they offer a family discount) so it was very affordable as well. The ferry wharf is a very short walk from the apartment. It was a wonderful way to start our days in Sydney. We took a public bus, that stops outside the building, to a local grocery store. There were also many local restaurants that delivered to the apartment.
After only reading one review on Homeaway, I was pleasantly surprised to read the guest book in the apartment. There is a book filled with fantastic reviews dating all the way back to the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
My suggestion is that if this apartment is available, grab it! The apartment's view of the Opera House and Harbor are priceless. It is even better in person then you see in the photos. You not only get to watch the sailboats, sunrises and sunsets on the harbor, but you can even feed beautiful rainbow lorikeets at your window sill. You might even get lucky and see fireworks over the Harbor Bridge. Sydney is a beautiful city. Enjoy
