Great Appartment - Great Views - Minor Issues

The views alone make this apartment worth it. We watched the New Years Eve fireworks from the apartment and we had the best seats in the city!
After two weeks staying in the apartment we really started to love the easy access to the Ferry to get to down town. You could get the the heart of down town Sydney is 10 minutes.
The apartment is well decorated, clean, very functional.
The two bedrooms are pretty small. Each has a queen size bed. The second room has a mattress that can be pulled out and put on the floor to make the occupancy 5, but really more like 4 1/2.
The shower is a little awkward, but can be worked with.
The garbage disposal in the kitchen did not work.
The laundry facility was on the main floor and was a little rustic. We had some issues with the machines being tied up for days at a time with what I guess was a forgetful person in another apartment. The dryer did not work.
The owner was very helpful and courteous when you could get a hold of her, but communication was very spotty. When booking and setting up our stay e-mails and phone calls often went unanswered. Messages left at her home number during our stay went unanswered. We were left standing in front of the apartment upon arrival for almost 2 hours before she arrived to let us in.
I would recommend staying here if you are visiting Sydney.

The garbage disposal unit has been unusable since environmental concerns now prohibit their use and installation. I have arranged for a plumber to remove the unit from the kitchen.
The shower requires a small rubber wedge to be placed on the threshold of the shower to avoid getting the bathroom floor wet- this wedge is provided and it simply requires the showeree to put it in place.
The laundry has 4 washing machines for the use of 9 residents. An extension cord has now been made available to assist in easy use of the all 4 machines.
If the dryer was not working , the Australian summer sun is a better , quicker and more efficient choice. There are capacious lines for hanging laundry both interior and exterior lines.....
An electrician is not available on Xmas day except for emergencies.
I try to keep all communications with clients by email only, so that there is a record of exactly what has transpired between us. I do not take any bookings by telephone. I do all business by
email so that everything is in writing and verifiable by both parties.
In all 14 years of renting this apartment to vacationers , this was the first time any guest had to wait for my arrival. Circumstances beyond my control were the unfortunate cause of their wait.
