Fine Fish House - Not a condominium, this is a BEACH FRONT cottage located about 12 miles from Gulf Shores and next door to the Bon Secur National Wildlife refuge. One of the most private homes you can find in this area. The cottage has a master bedroom with a Queen size bed and a second bedroom with two full size beds. There is also a loft that has one twin bed and a fold-out sofa sleeper that sleeps two people.

Close to historic Fort Morgan. Take the ferry to Dauphin Island and Fort Gaines; great fishing in the Gulf of Mexico with a full service marina just a few miles away.

Amenities: Welcome - just bring your bathing suit and toothbrush! All sheets, towels, pillows are provided. There is a washer and dryer and a large deck for enjoying the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets! We also have a cable television with approximately 45 channels (and growing), VCR, stereo system with cassette and CD capabilities and wireless internet. Close to the Tanger Centre (outlet shopping), numerous approved golf courses, and transportation to the casinos of Mississippi and Louisiana.

Just past Mile Marker 10, Fort Morgan Road (U.S. Highway 180 West), (Gulf Shores), Alabama, approximately twelve miles outside of Gulf Shores, Alabama.

We are strategically located along the flight path for practice runs made by the Blue Angels of the Pensacola Naval Air Station and other aircraft. Historic Fort Morgan is only ten miles due west along the scenic peninsula highway. The trip to Fort Morgan is a must to be able to walk its haunting corridors, walls, and perimeter where Admiral Farragut proclaimed: 'Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.' The museum and its artifacts are a chilling reminder of our heritage and history along the Gulf Coast.

Gulf Shores is located approximately twelve miles due east on a scenic ride through the miles long brackish water lagoon behind the Gulf Coast as it becomes the 'Diamond Coast,' including the beaches of Gulf Shores, Romar, Orange Beach, Ono Island and on into the Panhandle of Florida.

You can enjoy the unparalleled serenity of being on the beach and yet be within minutes of the substantial amenities that have come to pass in the Gulf Shores and the Panhandle. Golf courses abound, water sports thrive, fishing is world class (with charter boats readily available from local captains), and amusement and theme parks of a substantial nature are all available.

This cottage is located in lower Alabama on the white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. It's perfect for just relaxing by the water or within driving distance of many sighseeing opportunities. There is a bike trail on Ft. Morgan Road and this cottage is just minutes from historic Fort Morgan,which hosts candlelight tours during the summer. It is within driving distance of the Pensacola Navy Air Station where you can visit the flight museum. Or take a day trip and visit Mobile or Biloxi. Mobile has the USS Alabama for touring, Mardi Gras, the Exploreum Museum, which boasts a hands on section for children and an IMAX theater, a historic homes tour in late March and of course Bellingrath Gardens & Home which is open year round and has a special Christmas light show during the holidays. There are many festivals during the year in the surrounding area and Biloxi is not far with entertaining show or try your luck at the casinos.

Other Activities: National Wildlife Refuge located immediately adjacent to property! nice bike trails and walking trails on Ft. Morgan Road.

A Great Relaxing Vacation

My husband and I stayed at the Fine Fish House for our one year wedding anniversary. It was the perfect vacation for us. This cottage was so cute and homey. We felt comfortable there right away. We were steps from the beach and the view was amazing. The location was perfect: far enough away to be away from the really "touristy" areas, yet close enough to drive into Gulf Shores or Orange Beach for dining, shopping, etc. The beach in front of this cottage was beautiful. It was really clean and not busy at all. Everyday we were on the beach the closest people were 50 yards away on either side. It was wonderful. Hurrican Isaac uncovered a shipwreck just a few miles down the road from the cottage. We visited this and it was breathtaking!! On one rainy day we drove into Pensacola to visit the Naval Aviation Museum, definitely worth the drive!! Mary was easy to deal with and made this rental as easy as can be. I would definitely recommend this beach cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation away from it all!

It was super, the house was great, the view was even better. Privacy was super. House had everything that you needed. We will return!!! Only probelm that we had is the you better be Tech Geek to figure out the workings of the TV, the one in the bedrm never did work right. This rates as a very low problem for us. Highly recommend it!!!!

Awesome Relaxation Time!!!

We arrived and stepped out of our van and could already here the waves crashing in the background as we could see the ocean over the dunes. Unbelievable is the word to describe the setting. The house was in a perfect setting and so relaxing everyday. The very first night we were on the beach we saw a shooting star and the stars were unbelievable in a dark sky without city lighting. We were able to watch the dolphins jump and play one day and went crab hunting on the shore a couple of nights our daughters absolutely loved it. The house is exactly as described and was perfect in setting and usage. We would recommend this to everyone looking for a place for 2-6 people and a pet.

Feels Like Home Just more Relaxing

This beach house feels like a home away from home for me. It is right on the beautiful white beaches. Very peaceful. We take our dog and she loves it. Wish I could go back this year. It make all my stress go away and this has been an extraordinarily stressful year. A summer without a trip to the house is not a summer at all! I can only wish! Plenty of sleeping accomodations. Great day with beautiful view of sunrise and sunset. Couldn't ask for a better place. Sit on the deck and listen to the waves and the birds. What more can you ask! I'll miss you this summer :0(

A Little Piece of Paradise

Our family loved this place. Our boys 1 and 4, did not want to leave. The location could not be any better. Quiet, absolutely no traffic, as close to the beach as you can get, and the view is fabulous. The house is clean and roomy. Mary was very helpful. The neighbors were great too! Bring nothing but a change of clothes, your swimsuit, and a few groceries! Oh yeah, and make sure you get up early enough to see the dolphins and the Blue Angels.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
