Our villa is located about 7-8 minutes by taxi outside of town on the peninsula where Dolphin Discovery is also located. There is a lagoon on one side and a beach on the other side of the main house. On the lagoon side we have a dock that is easily accessible from the Caribbean's famous Puerto Isla Mujeres Marina. The luxury of the beachside palapa is A/C with 22' ceiling, king size bed, fully equipped kitchenette, Mexican artwork, and furnished patios with hammocks overlooking the swimming beach with Cancun as the background. We feel the best way to see Cancun is from here. All guests have internet access.

Unique and Inviting. This is the only air conditioned palapa property on a swimmable beach on Isla Mujeres. Palapa:grass roof used in the tropics for coolness and beauty) The unit is air conditioned with wireless internet and beautifully appointed with sitting/dining areas, efficiency kitchens, ceiling fans, patios and chairs In addition, the palapa has hammocks on the patios. There is an outdoor shower for that refreshing rinse when coming off the beach or cooling off while you sunbathe.

Amenities: Linens & towels (No beach towels), purified water, blender, toaster oven, coffee maker, refrigerator, pots, pans, utensils. On the beach, a private palapa roof shade with tables and lounge chairs.

Activities: Swimming, diving, fishing, snorkeling, dancing, private sunbathing and excellent restaurants. A short walk on the beach to the turtle farm. A special feature of the property is the beach from which daily sunsets are breathtakingly beautiful.

Great place to stay!

Fabulous place - right on the beach on the side that faces the mainland so there are no waves and it is far less windy. In December, the water was just a bit chilly.

The guest house is nice yet very simple (as described). I did not realize that the guest house is divided in two making two units. This wasn't too big an issue, but if you are hoping for total privacy, this would be an issue. The owners were there, but we only saw them one time (which did make it feel private).

Taking a taxi to town is necessary as it is too far to walk (you can also rent a golf cart). Be sure to pick up groceries in town, as you will not find any store close. There is a good size store in town just a block or two back from the main street.

There are a few restaurant choices within walking distance (pricy compared to town but good food).
