Hi, my name is Bill, long time resident on Lake Jocassee. We are proud to be able to offer this fine home for your vacation and glad you have chosen to spend some time on Lake Jocassee and this beautiful part of our country.
We have owned a home on Lake Jocassee for over 20 years. When we had the opportunity to purchase more of the extremely rare land, we jumped at the chance. Originally constructed as the full time residence for a live in caretaker for The Jocassee Club, (see website - thejocasseeclub). The home is now available for rental to those who know the special magic surrounding Lake Jocassee. Lake Jocassee is known by some as the Lake Tahoe of the East. With its crystal clear waters and thousands of acres of protected land, there is nowhere else that has the same magic as Lake Jocassee.
Quiet, solitude and togetherness are often the things in our hectic world that truly rejuvenate and draws us closer together. Lake Jocassee offers that in spades, but what we really like about Jocassee Haven is that due to the location of the home on the lot, we never hear lake noise on the few days of the year even when many boaters are out. It is that sense of being enveloped in the mountains and away from it all that makes us love Lake Jocassee so very much and especially a stay in Jocassee Haven.
Located within the Jocassee Gorges natural resources area, opportunities for hiking, fishing, hunting, and enjoying nature abound at your back door. With miles upon miles of logging roads criss crossing the mountain wilderness, a short drive or bike ride can take you deep into an adventure and unimaginable wild places. Ever wanted to see a plant that only grows in one spot? Ever wondered what the "horse pasture" is? Ever wanted to land a trophy brown trout? All of this and more is literally at your back door.
