We call the second level of our house the 'dorm room.' It's one extra-large bedroom with 4 twins, a sitting area and a full bath. This space is ideal for parents who want young children in the room with them or for families which include siblings, cousins, assorted friends, etc. who enjoy fellowship day and night. This room has its own TV/VCR.
On the third level, 2 bedrooms (Q, 2 Twins) share a full bath. The twin room has a private balcony overlooking the lagoon.
Located behind the second security gate on the Vanderhorst Plantation, our house is on a beautiful, 3/4-acre, heavily wooded lot. Glen Abbey is a quiet residential street. As the crow flies, we are 350 yards from the ocean. By bike or on foot, the beach is just minutes away. We are conveniently located to golf, tennis, and bike paths.

Amenities include a six person hot tub, an expansive deck overlooking the lagoon with built-in bench seating and porch furniture which includes a teak dining table with 6 chairs, 2 teak rocking chairs and 2 comfortable chaise lounges, a Weber gas grill, 4 TV's/3 VCR's, DVD, a stereo/CD player, central air-conditioning, a wet bar in the great room, separate laundry room, Weber gas grill, 2 fireplaces. Guests with babies don't need to rent a high chair or a crib. We keep both at the house but crib linens are not provided.
Activities::
There is so much to see and do while vacationing at Kiawah. Activities on site include biking, swimming, golf, tennis, crabbing, shelling, boating, kayaking, sailing, and Kamp Kiawah for Kids. The island also offers shopping and restaurants. Nearby Charleston is a whole different paradise for those who enjoy sightseeing, historical home and garden tours, museums, performing arts, upscale retail and fine dining.The drive into Charleston is about 35 minutes.
