Sadly, I have just returned from 10 glorious days in Manzanillo. My wife and I plus another couple enjoyed the beautiful complex, with it"s amazing swimming pools. The location is excellent, with wonderful restaurants across the street,as well as grocery and other shopping. WalMart is just down the street if you have to go, however, Soriano"s across the street is cheaper and better. The ease of bus travel made taxis unnecessary. we did get on one bus headed in the opposite direction (my fault) than we weree headed, but we got to see some of the real Manzanillo, and it turned into a pleasant adventure. the villa, though not perfect, was more that adequate for our needs. Israel Navidad, the owner, was most helpful in answering my many questions prior to our visit. I am sure that the minor deficiencies that we encountered will be addressed, and if we were to return to Pacifico Azul, we would try to get this unit again.
Both El Fogon and Cabalittos restaurants were excellent and reasonable. we ate there most every night. The taco stand on the corner was wonderful for lunch. We had planned to eat lunch in the condo when possible, however, the prices and choices of restaurants made that an unappealing option. Why have a ham sandwich when you can do so much better for next to nothing. The Emperador restaurant downtown was recommended, and lived up to the recommendation. Two of us had a very tasty and filling lunch with 2 sodas for $6 american.
Thanks again to Israel and his family for making our visit to Manzanillo most enjoyable.
