    Non refundable deposit of US$200 (US$500 for Winter monthly stays) required to secure reservation. Balance of payment on arrival.

    Check in time 3.00pm on day of arrival.

    Early check in/late check out available for a small fee, subject to space available.

    Minimum 5 night stay.

    Parking available in the building - security deposit of US$60.00 to uplift permit, refund $50. Without permit, US$10 per day.

Not a better deal for the money in Waikiki

I'm a bit skittish about using owner rentals rather than hotels or resort exchanges so with the reviews in 2007/2008, I was hesitant. These people were patient and sent me photos to allay some of my concerns that arose from other sites comments about Waikiki Banyan. I can tell you that when I arrived, the on-site manager greeted me pleasantly, helped me get settled in with my granddaughter - and was just a pleasure. The condo was just fine - there was no reason at all for concern. What you see is what you get. And what you save helps you get around the island! It is true that Oahu has a GREAT bus system, but we chose a vehicle rental and parked each night in the deck below the condos (it's worth paying the final cost of $10). Wonderful to have a kitchen where you can bring home delicious fresh, organic items from the community college farmers market just down the street. I only wish that I had gone to Ala Moana shopping mall sooner! I love the Japanese department store there!
Owner's Response: We agree with JoannR, there is NO better deal for money in Waikiki. Fabulous resort facilities with a 1 bedroom fully equiped apartment, and some apartments sleeping up to 5 guests. Darmic is very popular due to the personalised service that is given right from when you email for a reservation to when you arrive and are greeted on check in. Our individually owned and decor'd apartments are very popular with new and repeat guests. We look forward to seeing you for your next vacation.

Nice Condo in Waikiki

Every person that we contacted at Darmic Holidays was a pleasure to deal with and fixed any issues we had right away.

This was a very nice condo close to Waikiki beach. There were many restaurants and activities to sign up for and do.

It was a nice short walk (one block) to the South end of the beach as well as we could walk to the zoo and the aquarium. The South end of Waikiki beach has some man made lagoons that are perfect for kids to play on the beach without any worry for waves.

The place was clean and well maintained. The kitchen had be recently remodeled and included a full size refrigerator and stove but no dishwasher. I wish there were some darker curtains because the balcony/windows were facing East (mountain view) and the early morning sun was bright. Kids woke up early :-) but the view was beautiful. The bed and hide-a-bed in the couch were fine to sleep in. Bathroom was clean and everything worked fine.

Laundry was just down the hall and the front desk gave us quarters.

The pool was nice but a little windy at times in the afternoons but they also had two different temperature hot tubs, kids play structure, putting area and BBQs.

We just took a taxi from the airport (about $35) and did not rent a car as you could walk everywhere.

The grocery store Food Pantry was a few blocks away but there where many restaurants for takeout close by and ABC stores everywhere.

For the price this place was excellent. I would highly recommend it for anyone with 1-2 kids or anyone else who likes to have a kitchen handy.

Private Suites a Winning Way to Go

We spent 28 days in one of the units offered by Darmic at the Waikiki Banyan. It was our first experience renting a privately owned suite so we were a little bit nervous. To our delight the unit was exactly as depicted in their photos, and it was spotlessly clean. From a high floor we had unobstructed views of the mountains and the canal. I have stayed in water view suites and this was nicer since we didn't need to block out the sun during the day. There were ample linens and towels; the beds were very comfortable; the kitchen adequately equipped. The on-site managers met us on arrival and responded to all our enquiries. The rec deck is the nicest I have seen. Although the pool was often busy with kids ( hey, they were having fun- and it is just a short walk to the ocean) there are lots of lounge chairs for sunning or shady spots for reading. A bonus is the farmers market next door where we bought most of our fruit and vegetables. The location is perfect- close to the bus line, the park and zoo, and the best swimming and snorkeling beaches in Waikiki. We will definitely be returning to the Banyan on our next (6th) trip to Hawaii.
