Are you ready to get away from it all and recharge yourself in a beautiful mountain home with 2,000 sq. ft. of comfort and privacy? If you love the outdoors, fishing, hiking, skiing and communing with nature, our CEDAR HIDEAWAY may be just what you are looking for. My husband and I built this beautiful home ourselves, even milling the wood from our own trees on the property. We'd love to share our vacation home with you, so you too can experience the quiet solitude and beautiful surroundings of this charming retreat. Built on 160 wooded and secluded acres, which border the Shasta Trinity National Forest, our home sleeps up to 10 people comfortably. Located 15 minutes north of Mt. Shasta, just off of Interstate 5. Decorated tastefully to make our guests feel comfortable and completely relaxed. The upstairs loft master bedroom includes a king size bed, situated under a skylight window to give you the feeling of sleeping under the stars.

Cedar Hideaway is tucked into the pine & cedar tree foothills of Mt. Eddie, on the West side of Mt. Shasta. The house sits back a 1/4 mile from Stewart Springs Road, and is very private. No other homes in sight, so you can really enjoy your solitude. Stewart Mineral Springs is just 3 miles up the road from us, and you can spend the days pampering yourself with mineral baths, sauna, and top it off with a relaxing massage.

A private bathroom, and small office space with full size futon, makes this bedroom a vacation experience in itself. The downstairs floor offers a queen size bed in the down stairs bedroom, a laundry room, and a fully equipped kitchen, that opens out to the living room area, located under the cathedral ceiling. The living room is a comfortable place to lounge around in. Offering a couch that opens to a queen sleeper, and a full size futon. Enjoy the TV/VCR (satellite/DVD and videos), stereo, games, puzzles, books, or just sit back and admire the view from the large picture windows overlooking the natural setting of this tranquil retreat. Sit outside in the lounge chairs on the front deck, enjoying a glass of wine, while your dinner is cooking on the gas grill, or perhaps the feel of the warm wood burning stove is what you long for. Wow!! This is a wonderful Place!! Our family had a great Thanksgiving Day in the mountains. The cozy fireplace and the upstairs loft added to the warmth of the home. The owner is wonderful and easy to deal with. Everything was already there and ready for our use. The children enjoyed the snow and the small wildlife that they saw and there is plenty of room for walking, hiking, or just stretching. We want to return as soon as possible and will recommend this "hideaway" to our family and friends. Wonderful, relaxing and a true "getaway". Really close to restaurants, shops, etc. Fun!!!

We had a wonderful time recharging our batteries at the Cedar Hideaway. Such a treasure. This place feels like home. We were welcomed with wine, flowers, chocolate, and smooth jazz music playing in the background. The girls watched movies all weekend, visited with each other, and made some delicious dinners in the well furnished kitchen. It was fun to cook and visit at the kitchen island at the same time. Also loved the lounge chairs out on the front deck. Drinking wine while our dinner was cooking on the gas grill. What a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the mountain meadow view.

We will be back to experience the house in the winter season too. Loved the "I Forgot Shelf". It came in very handy for several of us.
