Our 'Sand Dollar' is located 15 min. south of Newport and 1 mile north of the quaint town of Waldport in Sandpiper Village. It is just 100 yards from the ocean--a brief walk to the beach. High ceiling & large windows provide a great ocean view! A two-story house with the Main Living area upstairs includes Beautiful New Outdoor Deck area. Two bedrooms, one with Queen size bed and one with two sets of Bunks + a Lazy-boy sleeper in living room. Fully carpeted, Open floor plan includes Nice Kitchen, Breakfast bar and Dining area, and Free-standing Fireplace in Living room. Wood furnished for the fireplace. Choice of self-clean or professional clean.

  • Basic Rate: $120 per Fri, Sat night thru May 2010 for 4 persons, $15 for each additional person, max of eight. $105 midweek rate, $760 weekly rate.
    Basic Rate: $130 per night June thru October for 4 persons, $15 day for each additional person over four, maximum of eight persons. $900 weekly rate.
    1% State Lodging Tax
    Non-refundable deposit of half the total amount required to reserve desired dates. $60 refundable cleaning fee if left clean. $15 optional linen fee. Choice of Self clean or professional clean.

Overall it was a great experience but

I do wish there had been more warning in regards to the flight of stairs. We had elderly parents with us and would have preferred ground level. If we were on our own we would stay again at this location.

That said, what was provided was excellent. Everything from utensils to sheets and bedding; washer and dryer, and dishwaher. Basics of cooking ingredients were in the kitchen. We loved having such a well stocked kitchen. Went just the mile to Waldport to a very friendly grocery store and were able to save money by eating a couple meals in each day.

Local beach was clean and fun for us that spend our year landlocked.

Space was well thought out and we all enjoyed spending our evenings watching the ocean and the ships out on the horizon.
