I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know what a great rest we had at your place. You and your family have obviously forged some happy memories here ... it was the perfect escape. Very refreshing that the cottage was much more than the description or pictures revealed! Under promise and over deliver! I would like to talk about booking a 2 week stint next year.
We purchased this property in 2003. We fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. The oak floors, high ceiling, exposed beams and views of the lake hooked us from the start! The lake has the best swimming of any cottage we have ever been to. As an added plus, it is located mid way between Ottawa where my wife's family lives and Toronto where my parents live. The 2 1/2 hour drive from either location flies by! We enjoy all that the area has to offer- swimming, boating, hiking, trail running, close proximity to the southern access points of Algoncquin Park, skating on the lake in winter, snowshoeing, cross country skiiing, fall colours. This is the place where our extended family meets for christmas, thanksgiving, birthdays, holidays and other special occasions. But, we can't always be there so when we're not we share what we have found with others.
