Cottage, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Our 3BR/2BA cottage is located just over the 70 West Bridge on Lake Hamilton’s main channel in what was once Kleinshore Resort. It has a spacious open living room with cathedral ceilings, a large fireplace, comfortable furnishings, and a flat screen TV with satellite service. There are views of the lake from the living room, dining area, and the master bedroom. The living room opens up to a large deck with a grill and furnishings for grilling out and enjoying the view and sounds of the lake. The master bedroom has a king size bed, walk in closet and TV. The second downstairs bedroom located off the kitchen has a full size bed. The upstairs bedroom has a full size bed along with the second bathroom. The functional kitchen is fully equipped for your cooking enjoyment. We have a front loading washer and dryer for your convenience as well as linens, towels, etc.

We are uniquely located across the driveway from the pool in the front, and from the lake in the back, situated less than 100 ft. from the lake. The atmosphere here is very family friendly, and relaxing. There is a swimming pool and gazebo for your enjoyment as well as wonderful Lake Hamilton. We have boat slips here and a public launch ramp is only a couple of miles away. Bring your boat and/or jet ski and take advantage of the great boating, fishing, and other water sports activities or just enjoy a beautiful sunset on the water. There are also boat and jet ski rentals available on the lake. Lake Hamilton boasts many great restaurants and night clubs accessible by land and water.

Kleinshore was once a bustling resort with an elegant restaurant on the property. Back in the days of 'illegal' gambling many of the Chicago Mob members would frequent the resort. Gambling was eventually shut down, and the restaurant burned. All the houses are now individually owned and each owner has modified the houses to their own tastes.

Hot Springs offers many types of family entertainment, all within a 15 minute drive of our cottage. There is Magic Springs Amusement Park, mountain biking, hiking in the National Park, shopping and strolling down historic Bathhouse Row. For adults Oaklawn Park Race Track offers live horse racing January through April and simulcast wagering during the rest of the year as well as casino style gambling year round.

We love pets! Your housetrained, small pets are welcome with a $100 pet deposit (refundable upon checkout inspection). There is not a fenced yard so bring a leash for your small pet.

Our cottage is very casual and family friendly. We have a DVD player and DVD's, a Wii with some games, board games, and books for your family enjoyment. We have a complete stereo system and a piano for music lovers. Come stay with us and relax by the lake.

About Tom Hopkins

Ashley and I were introduced by a mutual friend and dated for a while after that. I proposed to her on Christmas of '98. We were married on the beach in Capitola, California during the summer of 1999. We have 2 children that consume most of our time. We actually have 2 units at Kleinshore, the one listed here and another for personal use and occasional renters. We LOVE Kleinshores, the laid-back atmosphere as well as the family friendly people make this a very enjoyable place to spend the summer. We can't keep our kids out of the lake and pool, and Ashley and I really enjoy the peaceful sunsets and the view of the lake. Last summer we spent many evenings out there and took our party barge to many of the restaurants on the lake for dinner. We are a fun loving couple that truly enjoys Kleinshores.

Why Tom Hopkins chose Hot Springs

I grew up in Hot Springs and Ashley grew up in N. Little Rock. The lake played a big part in both our childhoods. Our location here is in the middle section of the lake making the entire lake from dam to dam accessible in a fairly short boat ride. We love the atmosphere and the history of Kleinshore Resort and the fit just seemed perfect. All the cottages are now individually owned and everyone is making a significant effort to upgrade their cottages and we all really care about making this the best 'resort' it can be. We really enjoy being a part of this.

What makes this cottage unique

We live in Hot Springs, and in 10 minutes we can be out of 'town' and into the laid back atmosphere that being on the lake offers. It just seems like we can leave all the issues of work and living in town and come out here to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting of the lake. We also seem to spend more quality family time while we're here whether it be boating, swimming in the pool, grilling on the deck, or just hanging out. Spending time here is good for the soul.

Additional information about rental rates

We require a $200 deposit to book/secure dates. We accept credit cards and checks as payment. We have a couple of payment options. The balance can always be paid in full, or we can set it up on 2 payments with 1/2 the balance being due 28 days prior to arrival and the remainder due 14 days prior. This does not include the $200 deposit which is required to book the dates
Fees And Taxes A cleaning fee of $60.00 is required in addition to the rental rate.
Taxes are included in the listed price.
Check in time is now 3:00pm CST and check out time is 10:00am CST. If you would like an early arrival please contact us about this. We will do what we can. We are pet friendly for house trained pets. We require a $100 pet deposit in addition to our regular deposit. All deposits are refundable after our guests depart once we do a walk through

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

We loved everything about this place! We went for a girls get away trip, and have absolutely NO complaints. I was so surprised what we were getting for our money. You can't find anything this nice for such a great price in Hot Springs. There was plenty of space, and we loved having the firewood to use. We were just minutes from downtown. Tom made it so easy for me to book, plan, and schedule. I have already told another group about how wonderful this place was! If you are unsure about where to stay, don't think twice- stay here! :)

The cottage was cute, comfortable, stocked with the necessary items needed for the kitchen/bathroom/bedrooms and spacious for all my friends and I. We got together for a "girlfriend's weekend getaway" and had a blast! We enjoy playing board games and definitely had the space to be able to play. We also enjoyed our walks downtown Hot Springs and had a lot of laughs.The view of Lake Hamilton was beautiful too. We'll definitely be back!

Wonderful Lake House

Lots of room and light. Well stocked kitchen and great dining areas inside/out. BBQ clean and in good condition. Easy to rent with accurate description and directions. Easy to access dock for swimming and boat. Swimming pool is so close. Quite, private perfect for our needs. We had a great time!

Owner's Response: We were so happy to have Kathy and friends as our guests. They came from California, Canada, and Texas, all here for my/our 30 year high school reunion.
It was great to see them again and we were so happy that we were able accommodate them for their stay. They left the place in great shape and left a gift for Ashley and I which was so thoughtful. They are welcome back anytime, hopefully it will be before our 40 yr reunion!!

This is the 2nd year thay my family has rented this lake home. It is always clean and comfortable and Tom and Ashley are great to work with. We plan on coming back every year!
