When we discovered the Aina Nalu we fell in love with both the condo and its location. Every time we visited Maui we rented at the Aina Nalu until we were able to purchase our own condo. The condo is set in a very relaxing tropical garden atmosphere with two beautiful swimming pools and a jacuzzi as well as several small cabanas and a large pool-house. The large pool-house features a large plasma TV and free Wi-Fi.
At the Aina Nalu you are within walking distance of attractive small town Lahaina where you can grab a coffee, have lunch, or just visit the plentiful historic sites. The location is very practical in that you are located within walking distance of the harbor, (where you can take a boat to go whale-watching, snorkeling, diving etc.),supermarkets, stores,restaurants, and movie theaters, as well as night-clubs and bars. For daytime activities there are plenty of beaches, surfing and other activities just a few steps away. For dinner you can visit the multiple restaurants around Lahaina or utilize the condo's full kitchen or outdoor gas barbecues. At this location you can live like a local, like a tourist or both - it truly is the best of both worlds.

I have been going to Hawaii for many years and finally had the opportunity to buy a condo @ the Aina Nalu. I am working for a school for students with developmental disabilities and have the plan to eventually spent much more time in Maui. My son is graduating next year and than hopefully it is my time again!

I love the location of the Aina Nalu. I like to walk to places and have access to coffee-shops, stores etc. The condo is beautifully decorated and has everything we need. There are two beautiful pools and a whirlpool spa. There is free wireless internet access in the condo as well in the poolside guest pavilion. It is our home away from home!
This location met all our hopes: worked well for us and our 2 young adult children, convenient walking distance to restaurants and shopping in Lahaina, on-site pools were a nice balance with beaches, price was very reasonable. We will definitely check availability for our next trip to Maui. The owners were very easy to work with.
This is our third stay Aina Nalu and first time at this condo. While many of the condos are similar, this was by far the friendliest and most helpful owner we have experienced. The condo is perfect for a family or two couples sharing a vacation. It was clean, comfortable and easily accessible. Just FYI for those parking a rental car and something we've wondered for years...when does Aina Nalu condo management check for proper parking passes ($15 per day)? The answer is 9 pm each evening. This allows guests without parking passes to park cars near the condo during the day (typically many spaces available) and then look for a parking space along the street when available. This can be a challenge and might add the only stress during a perfectly relaxing vacation in Maui. Also, you are not allowed to pay by the day (officially) so you will not be able to pay for the one evening that you do not locate street parking. So be prepared to pay for your entire parking stay when discussing with front desk management. We find it is best to pay for parking as it is convenient, more secure, and doesn't risk damage from the less than perfect parallel parkie or risk scratches from a bicycle rider that may be dodging a car or scooter.
You will love this location and condo and will enjoy working with the owners. They understand exactly what you are experiencing with late flight arrivals/departures and if first time guests to Maui. We truly felt like this was our home away from home. We will return to this condo as often as time and availability permit.
We really enjoyed our stay, fantastic location and great price! Only a minutes walk from the main street with all the shops and restaurants. You don't need to drive anywhere in Lahaina. You can find free limited parking on the street, where Aina Nalu is located. It's always full and may take some time to get a spot. The place is new, clean, lots of space and all appliances. The washer and dryer comes in handy. We spent most of our time at the 2 beautiful pools instead of at the beach. We only saw one other hotel/resort there with the only good beach in Lahaina.
Be aware that there is damage deposit that isn't mentioned in the listing. The refund takes awhile since they only send a cheque instead of going thru paypal. There were a few burnt out lights in the unit during our stay, which made it hard to see and get ready in the ensuite bathroom. The only thing this place is missing is a private outdoor patio area off the condo. Also if you have any problems, the staff at the front desk will not accomodate you because it's a private owner rental.
We stayed for 1 week and the condo was very clean and comfortable. It is centrally located so driving is not always necessary if we wanted to souvenir shop or go to a restaurant. It was easy to prepare meals and linens and pots and pans were adequate. The property has a community grill, which made fixing a quick dinner very easy. There are two pools available and a hot tub, all of which are surrounded by cabanas. There were families present, as well as older adults and every age in between. We had young teens with us and felt comfortable all the time. There was lots to do and see on the island, and even though we spent a week there, we still missed out on some beaches and sites. It was a very nice trip and the condo was perfect for the four of us.
We were very impressed with the modern decor inside and on the property of this condo. Owners were very pleasant and flexible to work with.
My wife loved going for morning walks and collecting the ever so sweet tree rippened mangos in the neighborhood that seemed to be falling from the sky.
It was offered at a bargain price at a very convenient location. Despite being in a tranquel setting, it was only 2 or 3 blocks from all the great shops and restaurants on Front St, the Marina (submarine tour, ferry to Lanai, etc), beach for surfing lessons, and the very impressive Banyan Tree.
It was also a short drive to Kaanapali for the Luau, Beach and the Whaler's Villiage shopping plaza.
"I would rate this an excellent condo!! It was clean, the property amenities were incredible. The location in Lahaina was perfect and convenient. There was plenty of room in the condo for our family of five. Having a kitchen with 3 college students was ideal. In addition, the owners were extremely nice and accommodating!!
