Away from the noise of the Village nightlife, but still only a short walk to the ski lifts/ restaurants/ shops and all that Whistler has to offer - or hop on the free shuttle which stops right across the street!

Secure underground parking with locked storage area for bikes. Large heated pool/hot tub open year round.

We chose this property first and foremost as a vacation home for our family. Whistler has something to offer for everyone, year round.

What makes this condo unique

As 'owners' of two very spoiled boxers, it was important for us to offer pet friendly accommodations. Great location, easy walking distance to Village as well as Lost Lake. Condo is in back of the complex, with easy access to the Valley Trail system (away from noise of nightlife but please be aware there is traffic noise with windows open).

Great Condo - Great Value

This was a really great stay. We typically stay at one of the resort run condos - this was a much more affordable option when you factor in all of the savings (free parking, etc...), and it was roomy, well appointed, plenty of amenities, comfy beds, great pool, large hot tub, and in the village. It was also strategically located close to groceries (which can be a logistical nightmare when toting two kids). If you have small kids, note that there are two levels in the condo and stairs - we were able to manage it pretty well without incident. I would recommend to anyone.

I want to present an honest ,fair and balanced review of the property.First of all the owner was very helpful and accommodating.She allowed us to leave our luggage in the condo before check in time and offered late check out.Minor house keeping issues were resolved promptly.Condo is very competitively priced. Beautiful Condo Complex approximately two to three blocks from the main village, how ever within one block of major Market Place area.very nice pool and relaxing Hot Tub areas.Free under ground parking available if needed.Nicely laid out condo with every thing you would need for long term stay.fully equipped kitchen with supplies,W/D a plus,with detergent.Beds adequate for 4 persons.Did not use sofa bed.Bathrooms fully functional.Enough good quality towels.Good quality Linen.The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 would be the property backing to major Hwy with heavy traffic,How ever it may be less of an issue in cooler weather when you may be able to shut the windows.One recommendation to the owner would be to get rid of down stairs carpet,because that is the first thing you see as soon as you enter the condo,perhaps hard wood or vinyl would be more lasting, and guests may be willing to pay more.Other recommendation : up grade the water heater for enough warm water for 4 consecutive showers.Great stay for the budget conscious family looking for a bed for every one , making own meals and traveling light with convenient in house laundry, pet friendly of course.Thank you Penny.

Returning user, and just as pleased as before! Beware of bad reviewer/renter from July 3!

Hello All, I left a great review on July 2, 2013, and am here a year later to again praise these owners and their accommodation.

Penny, as usual, was so helpful and accommodating. Knowing she had nobody staying immediately before or after us she allowed us to check in early and leave late basically giving us another full day in Whistler! Also, realizing late that we weren't bringing pets, I let her know and she promptly refunded the pet fee! She is the definition of great customer service; these big hotels, and other owners should take notes!

The condo was just as I remembered a year ago. Well maintained, clean, and furnished with everything you could need from sleeping to cooking. The complex hot tub and pool were perfect, and much need after an insane day at Tough Mudder! A bonus with Penny's condo is that the parking spot is in the underground parking lot right under the condo so it's only a short walk down some steps.


I must add comments about the recent 3 star review as I don't want people to get the wrong idea about this condo/owner.

The complaints that person made are ridiculous. Complaining about no elevator? What CONDO complex has an elevator!? The instructions were clear and thorough NOT confusing; what reading level are you? Pathetic complaint. They don't consider that this is an old complex so yes there will be some stains on the floor; no serious one's that alarmed me. I don't understand how they can complain about no AC when the owner doesn't claim to have one? I left the back door open often and had ZERO insects disturb us.

They sound like a whiny customer expecting a suite at the Fairmont. If that's what you wanted then pay for it! Obviously, you get what you pay for and this condo is priced insanely well considering location, surrounding amenities, and the fact it allows pets! They must also be sensitive sleepers as my group of 5 have no problems sleeping into the late morning. If you're such sensitive sleepers, bring an eye cover to block light! Complaining the downstairs shower being icky? Like what is that? Icky, really? That's such a vague complaint! I personally used that shower without any concerns, and I don't have low standards. The upstairs bathtub did not draining quick enough, but that's a pretty minor issue where if you let the owner know they will likely have it fixed, DUH!

This sounds like a case of great owners, crappy renters; good riddance to you!

Nice location, needs thorough cleaning

This condo is a 2-story property with living room/kitchen downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. There is a Jacuzzi tub upstairs. The downstairs has a balcony and a gas fire place. A gas grill is available as well. We used the pool in the complex twice and enjoyed it. We did like that there was laundry available.

Arrival was somewhat confusing despite the description we received in email. There's no elevator so you'll end up carrying the luggage up two flights stairs.

Location is very good, exactly as described in the property info. Right across the street from the market place and in walking distance to the pedestrian areas, lifts, etc. Highway 99 is right out back though and can be noisy if you have the windows open. Speaking of windows, none of them have any screens, and I didn't see any on any other windows of other apartments. Maybe there are no insects in Whistler. Seriously there was no AC, so screens are a must so one can keep temperature down inside. There are no curtains so everyone woke up when it got bright at 5:30.

The condo itself must have been very nice when it first was built, but now it is showing signs of neglect that need to be rectified. The gas grill was so filthy it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in several years, grill utensils were dirty and the wire brush to be used to clean the grates was missing all bristles. The carpets downstairs all have stains, as had many of the blinds. The bathtub upstairs didn't drain right. The shower stall downstairs was icky.

Overall we enjoyed Whistler but would have enjoyed the condo more if some more attention was paid to its upkeep.

Owner's Response: I am sorry Gita and her family did not enjoy their stay at our condo, had she let me know of her housekeeping concerns during her stay, I would have made every effort to address them. Previous reviews indicate that we are involved owners who are very responsive to guests needs/concerns.
Guests booking with us will find a clean, family friendly condo just as described on our listing and shown in photos. While the unit has not been renovated, our prices reflect this and we believe we provide good value for the money. Our many repeat guests will agree with this. Guests seeking high end, luxury accomodations should book elsewhere and expect to pay the prices associated.
None of the suites in Northstar are air conditioned (nor does it indicate the suite is air conditioned on the web site), however we find keeping the full length vertical blinds (which are on every window ) closed during the day, opening the windows to allow a nice airflow, and the location on the back corner of the complex keeps the condo comfortably cool. As well, there are fans available in every room. We have never found insects to be a problem. As Gita indicated, none of the units in Northstar have screens on the window - this is a strata issue, not an indication of neglect on our part.

Great condo - great stay

We recently had the pleasure of dealing with Penny and renting their condo for three nights. The location is ideal, close to shopping, the village and very easy access to the slopes (walk or 3 minute bus). Condo is well equipped (nice bbq) and very comfortable. The only reason for the 4 out of 5 is because it is not one of the high end condos available in Whistler. For us, it was an excellent stay, we look forward to coming back.
