My husband & I feel so fortunate to have rented this wonderful condo the week of 5/23-30, 2009. We were celebrating our 28th anniversary, and wanted a romantic getaway, and Kiawah was the place!!! The condo was immaculate, warm, and welcoming. The views were unbelievable, and it was perfect weather every day we were there. The location of Windswept #5143 was ideal. The building was newly renovated, & the condo was on the 6th floor, with vaulted ceilings and a deck with beautiful views of the beach. The pelicans flew by all day, and were so close you could almost reach out and touch them. We saw dolphins both in the ocean and in the Kiawah river. It's a nature lover's dream, and a photographer's as well. We saw a twelve foot alligator in one of the ponds on our way to The Ocean Course. The course has a Bar & Grill, as well as a dining room. We opted for the grill and sat outside and watched the golfers and had the beautiful ocean view and a wonderful breeze...very enjoyable. Fresh Fields and Newton's Market were great, and our trip into Charleston for dinner was also fun....delicious seafood places, and a lot of history there. I must say, however, that just hanging out in the condo, taking walks on the beach, and just relaxing was the best part of the vacation. The condo was so nice, and the master bedroom king bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in on vacation....no waking up with backaches!!! It was a very lovely condo in every way, and the owners could not have been nicer. We will definitely return!!!! On a scale from 1-10, it rates a 10+++ We highly recommend this condo!!!
