Caleta is the original premier single family dwelling community in Cabo. It is adjacent and part of the famous One and Only Palmilla Resort. This is where the movie stars vacation. Travolta eg. has his own table in one of the restaurants there. Famous athletes and business types own in this 62 home site development. It has 4 rows of homes. Mine is on the 2nd row with fantastic views of Punta Gorda and the ocean. Just the right distance to hear the waves as you fall to sleep. But back far enough so you are not overwhelmed.
A double gated community ensures the ultimate in safety. No need to lock your doors.
Swim or sunbath nude at will. 25 ft vertical walk down to the ocean.
Full gourmet kitchen. A TV/Media room is off the Roman center court where the second TV is located. 2 bedroom look out to ocean. They each feature a soaking tub.
SJD is surrounded by the all great golf courses. Discounts on many by staying in Palmilla. A fantastic quaint town with great galleries and restaurants. Like the French Rivers which features pastries by authentic French chefs who struck out on their own after doing a stint at a major hotel. Just a pleasure to walk about anytime.. More laid back then Cabo San Lucas. Casa de Paz (peace) is 3 years new.

I am a semi retired home builder from Toronto.
I chose SJD when I first saw it in 1995. Guaranteed sunshine with cool nights at December/Jan. Pointy volcanic hills backdrop a terrain like Arizona but on the Sea of Cortez where whales breach. Magnificent views up and down the highway. Great golf courses. The whole area is just a real pleasure to live in.
Most homes in cabo are 2 storey which have small plunge pools. I perfer the ease of a one level home especially my older visitors. Once you've tasted a 40ft lap horizon pool you're hooked. Discounted golf, unlimited beaches, and great produce in the grocery stores. Most grown locally. Great beef and chicken all naturally raised. And a short drive down to Cabo on a 4 lane highway. A small town feel with all the amenities you could need.
