Crescent City Cabin Rental Photos and Description
Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 5-7)
Enjoy our secluded, rustic and comfortable cabin, nestled on 1.5 acres on the bank of the Wild and Scenic Smith River in the heart of Redwood National and State Parks. Experience the gorgeous and world-renowned 'Stout Grove' of ancient and majestic redwood trees just 3 miles up the road. There is a beautiful sandy swimming beach across the bridge, just minutes walking distance away.
The cabin has been our weekend retreat for 5 years, and we are ready to share it with others. International guests have called the Riverside Cabin the most beautiful place in the world they have ever stayed. There are 2 bedrooms, but our favorite place to stay is the king-sized trundle bed in the living room. You go to sleep by moonlight, and wake to the year-round waterfall out the window.
Our son's 40 lb King Salmon caught when he was 11, greets you as you enter the living room. Enjoy the hot tub and sauna for a late evening relaxation with a drink or an early morning pot of coffee. The waterfall and the 2000 year old redwood tree next to the deck are your view. Come and experience true relaxation in the fantasy 'Star War's', 'Return of the Jedi' location where Ewoks live and play amongst the world's tallest trees.

We have lived in the Crescent City area for 30 years, and own All Creatures Animal Hospital & Bird Clinic. We have raised 6 wonderful children here and believe this to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. We lead a very busy life filled with faith, family, work, and community involvement, and understand the need for peace and total relaxation to renew the soul.
We purchased this property 8 years ago as a family retreat, 15 miles from our home and close enough for us to enjoy regularly. Our blood pressure drops 30 points every time we pull in the driveway, open the car door and smell the mountain and river air. Guests have been late to appointments and other engagements, because they couldn't bring themselves to leave in the morning. With all the joy it has brought to friends and acquaintances, we have decided to share it to a greater audience.
The peace and feeling of the wilderness are palpable. The beautiful clear waters of the Smith River below you and the sight and sound of the waterfall as you stand under the 2000 year old first growth redwood tree are almost surreal. The privacy of the hot tub and sauna in this setting is unmatched anywhere. Mornings and evenings by the wood fire are cozy and the possibility of a good movie with surround sound and a plate of hot cookies is too good to pass up!
