It was a relaxing break. The house was cute and the kitchen was clean. The beds were cozy. I would rent this place again, except we missed not taking our two little dogs. No pets!!! But, my grand daughter loved being close to the Ice cream store!!!
What a convenient location! And having SHARC passes included was a nice savings. Thank you!
This is the fourth Abbot house unit we've been in. We stay in this building because family owns one of the units and we want to be near them. Most of the units have a somewhat cavelike feel because of the way they were built.
This year, we weren't able to get a pet-friendly unit, so we went for Abbot House 1 because it had more bedrooms and more than one bathroom (SO MUCH NICER!). This unit was much more up to date and spacious than the other units we've stayed in. Lots of windows, 3 entrances and plenty of room for our 4 adults and 2 children. The back patio was perfect with access to lots of snow for our little ones to play in.
Also, you can't beat Abbot House's location for convenience to the Village and grocery market. It's so nice not to have to strap our little kids into their carseats to go everywhere. We pulled them around on a sled and they were thrilled.
As much as we love our little doggy, we'll likely opt to leave him at home again and stay in this unit.
This place was well appointed and comfortable for our family of three, even had a third BR that we didn't use. We appreciated the TV's, though cable malfunctioned in the snow; and the kitchen was well appointed for cooking our meals in. Views out into the trees made for a peaceful setting, even with one facing a road; we just closed the curtain at night. We liked being close to the market, just a walk across the street and through the parking lot, and driving to SHARC wasn't bad, especially since we could change there afterward. Furniture and beds were comfortable, and all in all, the roomy condo was just right for some good family time and just a 20 minute drive to Mt. Bachelor.
Our family stayed here for a visit with our son whose in a local firefighter program and goes to COCC. We had all the comforts from home and wonderful family time. Close to everything.
I stayed in this condo with 2 girlfriends for 3 nights. It was perfect for the 3 of us, with 3 queen beds each in its own room, and two full bathrooms, and washer/dryer. Nicely appointed kitchen with awesome picture window. Comfy family room with mini stereo and large tv. Nice little back patio with table and chairs and 5 bikes. Right on the wonderful bike path! It is an end bottom unit so has nature view out the back and side with lots of trees. We saw deer out back in the mornings. It was very quiet in the area. You do hear a few footsteps from the upstairs condo but it wasn't a big deal, and you did not hear any voices or other noise...must be well insulated. The location is perfect for walking to the Village shops and restaurants. Sharc and the Lodge aren't far either. We could have stayed a lot longer and found plenty to do! (I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 as it is a comfortable, homey, clean property, but not a high end, luxurious property, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't stay there again...highly recommend!)
