A large, covered deck with a wonderful view and lots of comfortable chairs and rockers to enjoy the birds singing and feeding at the feeder. There is a fire pit off deck with a large picnic table and gas grill. Also outside is the hot tub, a great way to start the day with your cup of coffee watching the mist rising off the meadows and the sun coming over the mountains. You will have thick terry robes to wrap yourself in when you get out of the hot tub, great for those chilly evenings star gazing by the fire.
Asheville is only 30 minutes away, so day trips can include the fabulous Biltmore with it's famous 'castle', shops and winery. Asheville has many wonderful antique shops to explore, restaurants to tantalize and something going on constantly at the Asheville Civic Center. Asheville also has the Southern Highland Craft Guild which displays over 700 craftspeople's works. The Folk Center is home to a craft shop, museum, special events gallery and hosts demonstrations and workshops throughout the year. We haven't even scratched the surface yet! Why not ride on the steam powered engine on the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery? Hot air ballooning will give you another perspective of our picturesque country-side! Don't forget, casino gambling is close by too. There's lots more to do too! Nature hiking, white-water rafting, golf, tennis, horse-back riding, fishing, hunting, antique shopping, auctions, all these and more are close by for your enjoyment.
No matter what season you pick to come to the mountain, you will find so much to do, there is no way to fit it all in!
