An hour and a world away from Louisville

We stayed at the farm house for 3 nights; with 5 of us sleeping in the house. On Saturday, we hosted a family get together at the farm house. This place was perfect for us. The floor plan of the house is flowing, with a dining room large enough to accommodate those who prefer to eat inside. The kitchen has a wonderful view from the window over the sink, and is easy to work in. In fact, every room has a great view. Everyone who came raved about the location and setting. We had people from Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and Texas. My 95 year-old father is very familiar with this part of the country, since he spent boyhood summers there working on various family farms. He took special delight in giving tours of St. Meinrad Archabbey, Monte Casino, and the Sisters of St. Benedict Monastery in Ferdinand. One of our visitors, who is an international flight attendant, favorably compared these sights with those he sees in Europe. In closing, this location is a great base for visiting so many places in addition to the obvious one of Holiday World. I highly recommend Sally's farm house.
