This is such a naturally beautiful area, the perfect retreat from hectic city life, somewhere to relax and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings, listen to the birds and the wind in the trees, gaze at the stars, view wildlife, watch the seasons change...there is beauty and solitude in every season here.
The cabin/home offers complete privacy and seclusion, yet is not too remote for enjoying off-site activities. The property features private walking trails and an outdoor fire pit, a small creek runs near the edge of the acreage, and there is a variety of terrain to enjoy, hills, flat areas, woodlands and open wildflower fields.
We just enjoyed our second visit at this wonderful cabin!
This year our grown children joined us and even those 20-something's had the same grand time that we did! The cabin is secluded but surprisingly not far from anything we wanted to do. We were able to visit family in the nearby area, enjoyed some beautiful sights and even explored some of the back roads as a different kind of adventure. The fenced in yard and gated stairs made it exceptionally easy to keep an eye on the little one and to keep the dog within view at all times. The deck and hot tub were the most popular areas--it was great watching all the shooting stars while soaking in the relaxing, warm water enjoying the quiet, clear nights. Our evening fires in the fireplace fostered some wonderful new family memories and times that will not be forgotten. We've spent two wonderful vacations at this and would definitely recommend the perfect gem! The owner Teresa is a perfect host and has created a spectacular vacation spot!
My wife and I stayed 3 nights in the cozy log cabin in Elkins, WV. Coming from congested South Florida, we found the cabin to be a major chill zone for us. The cabin was well appointed and had everything we needed. It is located convenient to the National Forest and offered us the seclusion we were looking for.
I recently stayed at the lodge with my girlfriend for a few days and we had a wonderful time. The lodge is secluded but also fairly close to two small towns where you can get the essentials. The house was very clean and cozy. Teresa (owner) was very attentive and accessible. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this lodge!
Went up for the weekend with a group of friends for a stress-free weekend and couldn't have asked for a nicer place for that. The cabin is very secluded so you don't have to worry about neighbors bothering you. The hot tub and fireplace were especially nice since the weather was quite cold the first night there. Although we didn't have a dog with us there's a nice fenced in area out back and even a dog crate provided for use. It was nice not having to leave the cabin since our main goal was rest and relaxation. The owners provide some games, books and DVD's and there's also Satellite TV so everyone should be able to find something to do. There are a lot of things to do within a short drive so it would make a nice base of you're in the area hiking, skiing, etc. We were extremely happy with our stay and look forward to visiting again in the future.
My wife, dad and family (7 total) spent 4 nights in hopes to see snow for the first time. Unfortunately it did not snow but this location is not far from Snowshoe Ski Lodge where we were able to play in 'fake snow.' The cabin was great! It was well kept. There were dvds to watch, board games to play trails in the yard to explore. We were greeted every morning by the Kitty, very friendly. My wife and I enjoyed most of all the peaceful nights sitting by the fireplace. All in all it was a wonderful cabin at a great price! The communication between the owner was outstanding as well. Quick response to any of our needs. Thank You so much!
My husband and I were taking our son to ride The Polar Express and we decided to make it a long weekend trip. We found this cabin and booked for 2 nights. We really enjoyed it! We were all able to relax, play board games, and watch TV. We had a great time. The cabin was very comfortable. We loved the seclusion, so peaceful and quiet. The owner was great to deal with. Overall, it was an excellent experience!
