We invite you to unwind and relax in our charming cottage with mountain and sunset views on beautiful Lake Lure. Selected as one of the 10 most beautiful man-made lakes in the world, Lake Lure is nestled in the serene setting of the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. You will discover the magic of nature in this wondrous canyon known as Hickory Nut Gorge. Built in 1925, Lake Lure consists of approximately 1500 acres with 27 miles of shoreline. Major motion pictures filmed close by: Firestarter, A Breed Apart, Dirty Dancing, Last of the Mohicans, Hunger Games . The isothermal belt provides enjoyable climate and 4 season splendor year round.

Full bath on top floor; hardwood floors and beaded board ceiling and porch on upper level. Lower level, one room living area with kitchen w/knotty pine paneling, log futon, sofa and chair in living area, back porch. (2nd bath on back porch w/shower.) 4 small steps from street to door; a dozen or so stone steps from yard down to boathouse deck w/lounging and dining furniture. Departure cleaning included. Don't forget your smiles.
Activities: For the 'active life': fish, swim, canoe, hike to waterfalls, bike, horseback ride, golf, tennis, water ski, boating, tubing, rafting, kayaking, shopping, wild life viewing, Flat Rock playhouse, Biltmore estates, Chimney Rock park. BR B Area: /B BR Our cottage is located on the east side of Lake Lure, away from the hustle and bustle of the town, on a deep cove, with a no wake zone for fun and safe swimming, canoeing and pedaling, with lots of trees, in a lovely low rental neighborhood with friendly neighbors, and 5 minutes to the some of the best restaurants on the lake! Close to Asheville and Chimney Rock.
Please note this is an older classic lake cottage. Max occupancy is five at all times to include visitors. Family groups and groups age 25 and older only. No parties; No Events. Max parking is for two vehicles. Ask about extra parking spot if needed.
