The SUNSET CHALET is within easy walking distance to restaurant and casino so in good weather it's very doable. Also, about one mile to Kings Beach marina where you can walk along the beach shoreline of Lake Tahoe. In summer months they rent kayaks, row boats, and children frolic in the shallow water there.

About 40 minutes to Reno's entertainment:
Although there is year round entertainment at the Lake , sometimes a special headliner may be featured at one of the Reno venues. If so, it is only about a 40 minute drive over Mount rose Hwy to downtown Reno.
