Our Sunsetchalet is a sunbathed, stylish and fully equipped home overlooking Lake Tahoe. The Sunset Chalet is perfect for Honeymooners or those wishing a special getaway. You will be treated to incredible views of Lake Tahoe throughout the home!! Our home is lavishly equipped overall with washer and dryer, bathroom with tub/shower combination. 2 Queen size beds (white goose down comforter) and full size sofa bed. There is a second TV in the upper bdrm The kitchen is a full kitchen with all appliances ,dishwasher and plenty of counter space for mixing and fixing. There is a small desk with answering machine for messages. DSL for high speed internet provided. wifi available on nearby networks. There is both gas heat and a glass front wood burning stove for cozy or romantic evenings. The living room has a large L-shaped sofa that also converts to a full sized sofa bed if needed. The deck facing and overlooking the Lake has deck chairs, gas BBQ, and table.

    Unit is lavishly equipped.
    It has a glass front fireplace! There are 2 queen beds and a large L shaped sofa that has full sofa bed. You'll find our Sunset Chalet is customized for comfort and extremely well equipped. There is apt. size washer and dryer, dishwasher, bath with shower/tub combination. An automatic entry light for later entry and exits.
    The Sunset Chalet is Located only 1/2 mi. from state line casinos. 6 miles to Northstar ski resort and near all North Lake Tahoe attractions.
    Please note: We have another newer 3 bdrm, 2 bath home - Tahoe's Sunset Sonata. Home is as fully equipped as the Sunset Chalet and new as of May 2003.

Walking distance to restaurants and casinos : Amenities: Fireplace, Phone, cable TV, VCR, Microwave, Full kitchen, Washer, Linens provided, Cookware and utensils provided, Answering machine, Games. The SUNSET CHALET is within easy walking distance to restaurant and casino so in good weather it's very doable. Also, about one mile to Kings Beach marina where you can walk along the beach shoreline of Lake Tahoe. In summer months they rent kayaks, row boats, and children frolic in the shallow water there. All major CREDIT CARDS accepted through paypal. Required for any out of country guests. Personal checks accepted also.

Local activities: Activities: (on site and nearby) Downhill skiing, Cross country skiing, Hiking, Biking, Fishing, Hunting, Wildlife viewing, Horseback riding, Golf, Tennis, Shopping, Swimming, Snorkeling and Diving, Water skiing, Boating, Mini golf, ballooning, Rafting, Parasailing, Jetski, Air races. Area: We are the center of North Lake Tahoe. 1/2 mile to California/Nevada state line casinos, restaurants, 1/2 mile to Kings Beach and all the activities offered there. About 10 minutes to Northstar ski resort, Diamond Peak, 25 minutes to Squaw and Alpine.

About 40 minutes to Reno's entertainment: Although there is year round entertainment at the Lake , sometimes a special headliner may be featured at one of the Reno venues. If so, it is only about a 40 minute drive over Mount rose Hwy to downtown Reno.

Sunset Chalet

We spent our Anniversary at the Sunset Chalet. The view of the lake was wonderful. The sunsets were beautiful and to wake up and look out at the lake from our bed in the loft was very beautiful. The Chalet is small but very comfy. Its older but clean. Also pets are allowed which is very nice. The only negatives are, if you come up when it is snowing you will need 4 wheel drive or chains to make it up the road. If you have a sensitive back you might want to bring a memory foam mattress topper to place on the bed. We will be renting again. We had our anniversary dinner at Jason's. The prices are reasonable the atmosphere is warm and the food was very good. Very close to the casinos. Went snowmobiling, would recommend it to all.
