The Cottage is decorated in a Scandinavian fashion keeping with the original style it was built in. You will enjoy the European bedding in the master bedroom!
Outside there is a fire pit for late night star-gazing and included is a grill and outdoor eating area.
This cottage has eight acres for you to hike and or to pull up a lawn chair and enjoy the wild life. The house has an aviary window for the bird-lovers who visit.
Amenities: The cottage itself has a living room/dining room combination with a fireplace. New 29 inch TV with cable TV.
There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with 2 twin beds. There is a new, completely remodeled full bath and laundry room.
The kitchen is fully equipped with modern conveniences including a microwave. We supply all linens for the home. There is a fire-pit and gas grill for your use as well.
Although this home gives you peace and quiet, you are only a minutes walk to the Shoreline Restaurant, famous for it's delicious menu and beautiful sunset dining. GT Coffee house is right around the corner if a morning latte and cherry scones are to your liking. Charlie's Smokehouse offers fresh and smoked fish and the local shops have much to offer.
There is also a fishing museum which explains the unique heritage of commercial fishing that started Gills Rock and continues to this day. Within walking are three gift shops/galleries and two ferries for a day trip to Washington Island
