Cubby Bear Cabin in South Lake Tahoe close to the Mountains, the Lake and Casinos features sleeping arrangements for up to five in a 1 master bedroom, 1 bath, for two plus 1 bedrm sleeping loft for 2-3 plus sleeper sofa. Cedar paneling, lofted beamed ceilings, cathedral windows with a magnificent view of beautiful Ponderosa Pines out your living room. Enjoy the snow fall in front of our new bisque-Franklin gas fireplace! Warm & cozy atmosphere!

First floor master bedroom (queen bed with head raise&lower) for 2, private loft with double & twin for 2-3, living room with cozy sofa. Cabin includes linens, pots, pans, dishes, cable TV with DVD, games galore and common area washer/dryer. Secluded, romantic, nestled among the ponderosa pines for lots of privacy. Off street parking, located on a quiet cul-de-sac. French doors lead to your private deck. In Summer outdoor barbeque, firepit and picnic tables.

Cable TV with DVD, gas stove, microwave, gas fireplace, games. Excellent warm, gas furnace as well. Internet available. Close to all that South Lake Tahoe has to offer including all winter sports, skiing, snowboarding, tobagganning, sledding, snowmobiling, hiking & summer sports, boating, hiking, sightseeing, day and dinner cruises, dog beach, gambling, great restaurants, night life, night clubs and comedy and cabaret shows. 3/4 mile to Lake; 4 miles to Heavenly Resort and the casinos; walk to restaurants and shops. Why The Owner chose Y area

I rented myself for 10 days and fell in love with the picturesque atmosphere and the South Lake Tahoe area. So I bought the cabin! It was perfect for my family and me to enjoy all that South Lake Tahoe has to offer. We love to ski and have two dogs, and wanted a dog friendly atmosphere. So what more could you ask for! The location is perfect to offer privacy but close enough to all the action. We can get to Heavenly in 10 minutes.

What makes this cabin unique

Just installed a wonderful, new Bisque Franklin-stove gas fireplace for lounging in front of with a good book or movie.

Perfect Location of South Lake Tahoe CA Getaway!

Enjoyed the cabin and the area it is located. Central to many activities -- hiking, beach, ski resorts, good restaurants, bowling etc..

Cabin was as described in listing and was comfortable for 2 adults (and perhaps 2 small children). We didn't bring the dogs this trip but hope to do so in the future. Friendly neighbors too!

Wonderful place to spend snowy days during the winter. Snow every day made the trip memorable as we spent the Christmas holiday there. Lots of afternoon walks in fresh snow was also a plus (and a good workout!).

Not a complaint but rather a helpful tip for those that like to cook..... The cabin's kitchen could use updating as supplies storage for the dry goods we brought was a bit of a problem as kitchen counter space is limited but otherwise cabin was nice and comfortable. Note - We wanted to leave the kitchen table clear for eating and games we brought to pass the time. If you don't plan on eating in or playing games, the kitchen table is a good storage area.

You can't go wrong with renting this cabin.....

Cozy Cabin

My fiance and I stayed here with our two dogs. Nice cabin, very clean and well maintained. The cabin appeared larger in the pictures. I would not attempt to fit more than 3-4 adults espically the loft you can't stand up straight. Perfect for people who are only going to sleep here at night. Other than a little hippcup of losing power 90 minutes before our engagement picutres it was a great weekend and would stay here again!
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: I was so happy to have another engagement happen at my cabin. A year ago I had a couple get engaged at my cabin and they bought the cabin next door and are now my neighbors! It's a charming place. So sorry the electricity went off but it was in the entire area. We worked hard to get it back on within 90 minutes. Not bad for the mountains. The sleeping loft is just that for sleeping. I can stand in it, but if you're tall, you have to slouch. It's perfect for a couple or have the children in the loft. Please come back to celebrate your wedding, or like last summer, I had a wedding couple stay with me who got married in South Lake Tahoe! It's a very romantic town, very picturesque and worthy of a great wedding spot. Sincerely, Hilary

Hi, Hilary, Our family loved your Cubby Bear Cabin! It was very comfortable, clean and well stocked. We were so thankful that you had charcoal lighter fluid so we used that and left charcoal there for the next guests. I think that's probably how it works - you take something - you leave something. The kids loved the loft and we loved sitting out in the yard under the Pines and the stars. Just yesterday I gave your site tom someone who was asking about a good place to stay in Tahoe. We planned this trip for Jeremiah's 30th birthday and the place if the
perfect size for just the two of us. It's only minutes away from the
beach, shopping, Heavenly, etc. Thank you so much for letting us stay
here! The neighbors and managers have been so friendly and
respectful. We would love to come back and stay. With the other
cabins near by we would like to try and make a big family trip!
