Hi--I'm Leslie, I'd love to be your hostess! It's another beautiful day in Long Beach. My whole family lives nearby--Grandma and Grandpa settled here in 1923. I've been married to Randy since 1976 and we live a few blocks away. For fun we bike ride and travel in our RV. We have one son and an assortment of pets.
What's my life motto--I would say I have two--'Go with the Flow' and 'Follow The Golden Rule'. Hope to see you soon!
Leslie purchased this bungalow in 2008
The architecture in Long Beach is beautiful and Belmont Heights in my favorite spot! Built in 1929, this 'Classic Spanish' had been terribly neglected and the buildings needed every type of repair imaginable. In spite of the neglect the underlying charm was apparent--cool light fixtures, glass door knobs, original woodwork, hardwood floors, etc. Besides the 80 years of peeling paint and inoperable windows we could see the charm and character. One by one we started restoring the apartments to their former glory. We still have plenty of projects slated for the property but we'd love to share one of our most recent restorations with you.
Location, Location, Location! Loads of charm, off-street parking, roomy apartments with a washer and dryer inside each one. Wonderful Architectural Details!
My girlfriend and I rented at the property in the past. We loved the location and the architecture. The details like the glass door knobs and light fixtures are great! The beach is a bike ride away--about 5 blocks--and we liked to use the bike path at the ocean which takes you to downtown Long Beach or to 2nd Street. Both areas have great stores and restaurants. There are also some great coffee houses, bakeries, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. We were there during the Long Beach Grand Prix and that was fantastic to see--we took the city bus and it dropped us off right at the race track! The landlords are really nice people who live nearby. They care a lot about the property and the residents. I would highly recommend this property and the owners.
Altho I had to cancel, Leslie was so professional and returned my deposit immediately. She was very easy to work with and I hope I can stay at this cute place another time.
Loved my stay. Bungalow is sweet and charming as well as spotless and very comfortable space. Great for early morning and evening walks to and from the beach. Enjoyed my bike rides to Portfolio Coffee shop and down to Gypsy Mediterranean Grill next to Belmont Brewing. Would definitely recommend this Bungalow to friends and relatives.
I lived in this apartment for 5 months and I couldn't have asked for a better place. The location is great -- just a block from shops, restaurants and a great Pilates studio. The apartment is immaculate and comfortable with everything I needed for my stay. The apartment has been restored to the 1920s but with modern amenities such as a washer and dryer. Leslie is a great landlord. This is a great place to stay.
I lived in Belmont Heights growing up. After losing a close friend I decided to take some time and stay in LB visiting friends and family. I could not believe a bungalow like this was even possible to rent! Every detail reminded me of my Grandmas house, what a blessing to have that feeling. I always felt safe and I loved walking in the neighborhood. Detail, location and a historic bungalow in Belmont heights. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, retro place to stay awhile I would look no further. I WILL BE BACK!
Thank you Leslie for all of your kind attention and consideration. My daughter and I feel very lucky to have found your lovely little vacation home to transition into our permanent move it has been absolutely perfect. Even up to our SUPER NICE NEIGHBORS on all sides!! Most of all we are lucky to have found you! xoxo Carol and Sofia
My husband and I wanted to visit our new Granddaughter so we rented this wonderful place for a month. It is clean, and well-maintained and the owners are really nice. We liked walking around the neighborhood which is mainly residential with a some restaurants and shops nearby. One of our favorite stops was "The Coffee Cup Cafe"--it's just around the corner. We will definitely be back again and we highly recommend the property and the owners!
