If you are searching for an affordable place to call home for a few days of exploring the Poconos or for your ski or rafting trip, this is the place. The house sleeps 8, has WiFi, a full electronic entertainment package, and linens. A fully equipped kitchen, a huge 16 x 16 rear elevated deck with an amazing view of the Blue Mountain and the Appalachian trail, perfect for parties and entertaining. This is not a destination house, but it is basic and affordable accommodations for the group of adventure travelers who prefer to stay together, have the economy of doing your own food preparation, and want an amazing outdoor common area to spend time together at any hour of the day.
Our other property (913985) has over 27 Five Star reviews in less than a year of doing business as a vacation rental, that is more than anyone else in the Pocono Mountains on HomeAway! We intend to continue that trend in the newest addition to our business with this two bedroom house located in the Mayberryish town of Palmerton, which is a town of 5000 people about a 15 minute ride from Jim Thorpe. Offering comfortable sleeping for 6 or friendlier accommodations for 8, this house has all the same amenities as our other property in Jim Thorpe. A full kitchen with all you will want or need for a great time away, off street (next door) parking for 4 cars, and a killer deck with an amazing view (will be completed this weekend, look for the pictures!!) This really is an indoor/outdoor property, with the rear elevated deck adding significant value to the property as a 3 season place to spend time with friends, have a great deck party, and have some fun. The house is in an area of town where noise is not a major issue, and so I am opening the house to the younger traveler over 21. The deck and landscaping in the rear of the house has a taste of Latin America, with various elevations, and great landscape lighting, a big gas grill, shade, and plenty of seating.. simply put you couldn't ask for more in an outdoor entertainment area. Inside, you will find all your linens, wifi internet, washer and dryer, a 42' flat screen with streaming Netflix dedicated to the house, and much more. While not as convenient as our other property, it should appeal to those travelers who want a place to reconnect with friends, throw a party, play some music, and basically have a good time while still being an easy drive from all the action in Jim Thorpe and Blue Mountain Ski Area. My thought is that for the younger traveling group who do not have the financial resources to fill every day with a new activity, this place will be perfect..
Also we are a member of the Ski and Stay Program at Blue Mountain, offering nice discounts on lift tickets, plus our lift tickets are good from open to close, and my newest place in Palmerton is close enough to drive to the Mountain in the morning, come home for lunch and a rest, and hit the slopes again late afternoon. And stay as late as you want! This is a huge value added feature...
