This is a very unique 'artsy house', it has a vacation in the mediteranian decor. Private home in quiet neighborhood. Two master suites, each with private eclectic bathroom. This home will accommodate 4 adults. There is also a twin-size pullout sofa sleeper. Quality linens, fenced back yard, large backyard patio, outdoor propane grill, full privilage well equiped kitchen,( including spices!), full linen closet, laundry facilities, large dining table, wireless wi-fi acess, tv with basic cable and blue-ray disc player. This home has a wonderfull open floor plan, great for a small gathering. The house is a split-level, with no more than two steps going to the den area, also steps in the master suite into the bathroom. The lovely outdoor patio make summertime especially ideal to increase your useable space. Centrally located, three blocks west of downtown Reno. In town for business, perfect! Ideal for all the special events. Just across the street from Reno's oldest park, the Truckee River flowing thru. Joggers, bikers abound. The Kayak Whitewater Park and river rafting are summer time favorites for cooling off. Location is just three blocks west of down town art district, as well as casinos and many restuarants. Direct I-80 freeway access, 50 minutes to Tahoe City, or take a scenic 50 minutes on 395 S. up Mt Rose to Incline Village. Spring has finally arrived! Great time to be in Reno. Everything is blooming and coming to life! Outdoors is wide open for adventure and enjoyment.

Then come back to town, the streets are clear and the night life awaits! Tons of restuarants, casino showroom entertainment.

About Alyce Etxebarria

As a native Nevadan I treasure my home. It is so near all of the Reno activities that I love to participate in! I have lived in this home for 20 years, until a recent love interest has taken me to a new adventure. I have done all the 'remodel' work myself. My home is perfect and ready for guests to enjoy! I have really been lucky, with the best people, it has been a pleasure so far.

Why Alyce Etxebarria chose Reno

When I was a kid running around Reno, I remember saying that one day I would love to live in this neighborhood! This home is absolutely the perfect Reno location for work or play. The house is a short few blocks from downtown Reno. You could arrange a whole life within biking distance! Across the street from Renos oldest park, Idlewild Park and the Truckee River. Amazing thing is you can still go to one of the many little riverside beaches and be the only one there! Freeway I-80 westbound to Tahoe is minutes from the door. All this, and yet the house is in a very scecluded old S.W. area of town. Traffic does not 'just wind up here'. You must wiggle your way in!! Excellant!!

Summer time is packed with street fairs, weekly free music events, ArtTown, Hot August Nights, Great Reno Ballon Races, Air Races, Camel Races, Street Vibrations!!! The music scene in Reno is fantastic! Top names at prices you won't believe, and venues that are 15 minutes max drive time, assigned setting...!!!

Notes: This home has full amenities. You will find everything you need to make a full course meal. Bedrooms, baths are comfortable, with new fresh linens. This small, but luxury home is ready for entertaining! The layout is open, the atmosphere is warm and peaceful. I have had gatherings of up to 25-30 people quite comfortably. Summertime, the back yard is perfect for a wedding or reception. I recently hosted a family reunion here. With Idlewild Park, and the Truckee River right around the corner, it is perfect location! If you are a frequent business traveler, ask about a special rate. I don't know of any hotel in the area that is as nice, plus to have the luxury of home cooking / dinning in , relaxing in the private yard. Those business meetings downtown can easily include a lunchtime jog thru the park, a quick shower and back to work! Certainly perfect to host the business meeting at the large dinning / conference table. This home has available option to have maid service.

Alyce was a wonderful host. It felt like we were staying in a friends home. She met us at the house to show us around and was very easy to get ahold of with questions we had. The house is gorgeous and very unique. We will hopefully be staying here again and would recommend this home to others.
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

My friends and I traveled to Reno for the Tour de Nez and had the pleasure of renting and staying in Alyce's parkside retreat. Alyce was wonderful; she was flexible with our arrival and departure times, and even left us a pitcher of sun tea on the back patio to enjoy! The house was perfect for two couples with king size beds, plenty of privacy and full of ecclectic charm. It is a beautiful peaceful space right on the Truckee River and just a short 15 minute walk to central Reno. It's perfect for your summer or winter trip to the Reno/Tahoe area!

We really enjoyed our visit!

My husband and I both enjoyed our stay at the Executive Parkside Retreat over the Thanksgiving break! The house was beautiful, and it was evident that Alyce has poured her heart and soul into turning her home into a wonderful, romantic experience! The house was very inviting, had a fully stocked kitchen, and was extremely clean, which is the first thing we check for as our two dogs love to eat whatever food they can find on the floor (the good news is that there wasn't any!). Alyce even made us a homemade apple pie and left some treats for our bichon frises! The location was perfect for us, being that it was just a short walk to Idlewild Park and the Truckee River where we walked the dogs every morning, and a short drive to the Casinos, where we played every night! We will definitely be back for another stay!
