EUROPEAN COMFORT, CABLE CAR IN FRONT, WALK TO UNION SQUARE

Mike is very attentive and easy to work with. The flat was very clean. The neighborhood and the building were very quiet. Transportation is just outside the apartment door. Safeway, Walgreens and Trader’s Joe are down the street towards the waterfront. We would recommend this apartment.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the size of this apartment: it is spacious indeed. The location is great. Chinatown, North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf, and Union Square are in easy reach, as long as you don't mind either walking up or down hills or jostling for space on the cable car. At the same time, this block is quiet and peaceful.

This unit was absolutely CLEAN and Spacious and had all that was needed for relaxation and convienence. This is a perfect location for the vacationing couple or if your stay requires quick access to conventions in the area. Mike was very gracious and accomodating. The cable car musem is literally 500 feet up the street, check it out, Interesting to see the inner workings of the cable drive system, motors and pulley wheel that drive the thousands of feet of cable to and from the 4 different locations about san Francisco. With that being said, it makes for a central point to hop on them and venture off in any direction quickly. The monthly passes are great. we were able to use the cable cars, muni busses and electric trolleys to skirt about the city. I recommend grabbing a transit map from the vistor center near powell BART station (3 bucks) and shows the network. This was our first trip to San Francisco without renting a car. Previous trips we found that parking convience and fees were absured. The time it takes just to find a parking space let alone pay for it will let you appreciate that you left the car behind and stayed in this place. We were able to take BART from SFO airport to Powell Station for 8.25 a person (32-36 minutes) (luggage was easy to bring on trains). At Bart station, just come up on street level and hail a cab (we found it easier to position ourselves nearby a local hotel to catch one and the fare was only 8 dollars to get 2 people two suitcases and 2 carry on bags from there to the unit. (maybe 10 minute drive in heavy traffic) DONT NOT ATTEMPT TO TAKE LUGGAGE ON THE CABLE CARS. they are just tooo cramped for space, but great for using about the city as tourist. This unit is VERY VERY CLEAN, kitchen and bathroom spotless! bed was very comfortable for 2 tall adults. There is a beautiful view of the Transamerica building from the dining room window and China town is just minutes away for great food/shopping. We recommend the Huey Loy Guey restaurant, weve eaten there many times over the last 10 years, its an underground place which is typical full of locals which also tells you its the place to eat! Try the Soup and get Kung Pao Shrimp and an iced TSINGTAO beer. Perfect. (located on the SW corner of Jackson and Grant i believe and its a staircase down underground street level. you wont be disappointed. I cant say enough about this place. great relaxation, great fun and EAT24. if you want to stay in and have just about anything delivered.
