Only a five minute stroll to our private association Upper Makonikey beach (same beautiful shore as Lamberts Cove) our beach is next door to Lamberts Cove beach/ North Shore. Large house, Four bedrooms and lots of living space with cathedral ceiling great room that walks out to expansive upper outdoor mahogany living deck. Second large living room on first floor with private bed and bath allows for quiet space. Private road with large grassy yard. Set up with high speed internet/phone and fax. A sunlit summer relaxed atmosphere, fully equipped and ready for your dream vacation. Home is bright and fresh newly remodeled, has all new wood flooring, new carpeting, new kitchen, and new furnishings.

Private beach offers great swimming, beach walks and sun bathing. No crowds or fighting for parking!. Gorgeous cliffs, beautiful sandy beach areas..... ocean rounded rocks. Excellent surf fishing from our beach with access to well known 'Split Rock' area that is known for excellent fishing. Night surf fishing has brought in huge stripers. We have an excellent rental history at this much desired location. We book our rentals through our on island rental agent that provides secure contract. We have all details taken care of and house professionally cleaned and maintained. We provide little details/items like an extra cooler for your use.... a couple of beach chairs. Our cleaning staff is available for extra cleaning and upkeep during your stay if you desire (at additional cost). Our rental agent can advise /provide a concierge service to fully stock the house prior to your arrival. Many details can be arranged for you at your request.

Why The Owner chose West Tisbury

The location of this house is wonderful. It is private, scenic, very short walk to the beach. You feel like you are in a different world. Beautiful trees, quiet roads and a gorgeous beach. The house is fresh, open and welcoming, all new furnishings. It has a great beach feeling. We are also only a 10 minute drive to Vineyard Haven. Beautiful spacious land in West Tisbury, you can see beautiful horse farms, farmers market .... amazing beaches. We love this location as you can get away from the crazy summer crowds...yet only short drive into town.

What makes this house unique

The private association beach is amazing. We are part of Upper Makonikey association. With that we own part of a large stretch of beach that is private. The association owners have access to these two private beaches; Lower beach and upper beach. Lower beach is just a short stroll away from the house. You can walk from lower beach down the stretch of beach, about 3/4 of a mile onto Upper Beach--all private beach. There is a large set of stairs that climb the cliffs, if you like the workout. Those are the steps to the upper beach parking area. You can drive and park at either beach entrance. We like to walk to the lower beach entrance as it is so close and you don't get sand in your car. This is a North Shore beach, fairly calm waters great for swimming and sun bathing. Great fishing beach as well. We fish for striper bass at night. Makonikey has nice private roads for walking or running. Very quiet and friendly. House is only about 500 feet from the ocean (north shore), because of large trees there is no water view, but only short walk to beach entrance. The house is modern and with lots of space. All new furnishings, floorings, new kitchen, large expansive upper deck. Very comfortable and beach feeling. Lots of space for family. Quick drive to upper grocery store or short distance to Vineyard Haven for Black Dog breakfast, grocery store, Putt Putt and shopping/movies in town. We have a large grassy yard and outdoor patio area on large 1.5 acre lot. All properties in Makonikey are large lots most 3 acres or more with high end homes.

The private association beach is just a short walk away. One of the best beaches on the vineyard. It is a North Shore calm water beach (same shore as famous Lamberts cove beach) Beautiful sandy areas, gorgeous cliffs to see, colorful red and grey clay cliffs.... ocean rounded rocks..... very Large private beach about 2000 feet of shore. Low tide you can walk from lower beach entrance all the way to upper beach entrance...... just beyond that is Lamberts Cove beach. You have access to one of the most desired private beaches on the island. There is parking available at both private beaches. You can easliy walk to lower beach entrance in just 5 minutes. NO CROWDS

Our family had the best vacation ever!! Perfect location, amazing beach for lots of fun. House was nice and big for our large family, just beautiful! So nice to come and go to the private beach without crowds or parking issues like on past MV vacations. We lived on the beach. We did not want our vaction to end!

Best Vacation Ever

We had the perfect Vineyard summer vacation in this house. So nice to be able to walk to the beach in just minutes. Fabulous beach, great sandy beach...calm water for the children. The house is just beautiful. We have a large family of 8 and we had plenty of space for everyone. Nice to have two separate large living rooms. Great fishing for the boys too. We all loved the house, best vacation ever!

Beautiful Beach House

Our family rented this house last summer (2009). The house is clean, bright and beautiful. More important is the location. We could walk to the private association beach in just a couple minutes. The beach is part of Upper Makonikey private beaches, so you are on a beautiful north shore beach. Just a few families on the beach. Many times you are the only people on the beach. Amazing. No crowds. You can park your car at the beach entrance if you don't want to walk short walk. The house has two large separate living areas, nice with family to get quiet time. We would go on daily walks on the beach, starting at the beach entrance by the house, walking the beach all the way to lamberts cove beach. Just beautiful in the morning. The house is close to Vineyard Haven, about 10 minutes.
