The perfect home to gather and relax. It is in a very central location, close to vineyards, farm stands and beaches. Bright, comfortable and charming. The house is a 1,600 sq. ft. 1920's farmhouse surrounded by a 12 acre vineyard with an amazing view. The first floor was completely renovated in 2011 including a gourmet kitchen - Wolf range, Leibherr refrigerator, marble countertops and radiant heating. The dining area opens out through french doors onto a bluestone patio with barbeque and outdoor seating, while the back porch is perfect for a nap or glass of wine in the evening. New washer/dryer, plenty of parking, WiFi access, DVDs, apple TV. Feel free to use bicycles, beach chairs, make a fire outside in our fire pit, relax in the hammock.

Perfectly situated for convenience:

-- Short walk to movie theater, supermarket, Starbucks, pharmacy, and the famous Magic Fountain ice cream shop.

-- Also a short walk to Love Lane, Love Lane Kitchen and Gourmet grocery, Village Cheese Shop (and coming soon tasting room)

The house is within walking distance to Love Lane in Mattituck with the famous Love Lane Kitchen, Village Cheese Shop, and a new tasting room (coming soon). There are over 50 vineyards on the North Fork with live music, events and tours. We are 20 minutes away from the ferry in Greenport that takes you/your car directly to Shelter Island.

Mattituck is the first Hamlet stretching from Bay to Sound side, is home to Love Lane, a Normal-Rockwell-style quaint shopping street dotted with gift shops, places to eat, and a great market; also home to the North Fork Community Theater. We have some of the sandiest Peconic Bay beaches, while the Sound Side is dotted with homes on top of a high bluff with wide views overlooking the Long Island Sound towards Connecticut.

Activities include kayaking, water park, chartered fishing tours, antiquing, biking, berry picking, and lots more.

I highly recommend this rental property. The owner was very accommodating and helped us out of a bind when another property was double-booked. She saved the weekend! The house is immaculate and beautifully renovated. The photos and description are accurate. What you see is what you get! The house is centrally located to many wineries, restaurants, beaches, outlets & Love Lane! Not only is the house very cozy and comfortable but the lovely yard, patio & back porch were very enjoyable during a summer-like weekend! The perfect get-away!
