Our home, 'Frangipani Holler', is truly island living, located in the middle of Sand Key, a barrier island on the central west coast of Florida.
We are just one block from the beautiful brown sugar sand beaches of Indian Rocks Beach, dubbed 'The World's Safest Beach'. The beach offers sun, swimming, shelling, fishing, and surfing as well as gorgeous Gulf of Mexico sunsets.
A guided nature walk in the Indian Rocks Beach Nature Preserve begins steps away from our home and proceeds through the bayou and bird sanctuary directly behind the house. The preserve offers a fishing dock on the Intra-coastal waterway where Snook, Redfish, Kingfish, are caught by local and vacationing anglers.
Indian Rocks Beach is a family, senior, and pet-friendly community with parks, recreation, and arts available for all. The Art Center, Library, tennis, handball, shuffleboard, softball, skateboard ramp, basketball, and community park are 5 blocks away. Monthly events and festivals offer food, music, arts & crafts, and general fun for the whole family.
Casual and fine dining options are located throughout Indian Rocks Beach along Gulf Blvd. including Italian, French, Americana, seafood, pizza, sandwiches, and ice cream.
Several MLB Spring Training parks are 15 - 60 minutes away from the house including the Blue Jays and Phillies within 15 minutes. Yankees within 45 minutes, and Tigers approximately 60 minutes from the house.
The Clearwater Marine Aquarium, home of Winter, the world famous rescued dolphin featured in the story and movie 'Dolphin Tale' is 15 minutes away.
