L’ARIENTINO – Design, Art & Comfort – Peerless centrally-located accommodation

1950’s and 1960’s true top European design furniture and furnishing, unique works of art and craft, a great atmosphere mixed with the comfort and convenience of a very quiet, clean, close-to-everything hideaway located in the very heart of the historical center of Bologna – this is L’Arientino, our beautiful studio apartment with a special taste added to it.

Thoroughly renovated in March 2012, with timber ceiling and wooden floor, furnished and decorated with works by some of the most worldwide-renowned 1900’s architects and designers – from Eileen Gray’s table to Marcel Breuer’s chairs, Dieter Rams’s 1960 wonderful bookcase and more.– together with some antiques, contemporary paintings and original Faience pieces, L’Arientino can comfortably accommodate up to 2 adults and 1 child in a very cozy bedroom (a queen-size, high-quality frame, mattress and linen design pullout bed + 1 child’s bed), a kitchenette, a bathroom. The windows overlook a minor street where only resident traffic is allowed and the typical red brick landscape of Bologna. Peace and quiet are 100% granted.

All the main, most modern appliances are provided – washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, cooking range/oven, microwave, plenty of kitchen tools, stereo, TV/DVD, Wi-Fi internet connection, more. The bathroom features a shower, towels and linen are provided and included in the price. The apartment is air conditioned.

L’Arientino is located is friendly, quiet, safe neighbourhood that is part of the most elegant, charming section of the center and virtually traffic-free, the largest park in town (Giardini Margherita) at a stone’s throw. A large guarded parking lot can be found about 300 mts. from the house (spots can be reserved through the internet) whereas many stores, groceries, restaurants and pubs are just around the corner. The closest bus stop is only about 150 mts, the train station can be reached in minutes while the main theatres, museums, monuments and the most renowned stores and restaurants are all walking distance.

We are located in the very heart of Bologna Historical Center, a safe, welcoming, typical Bolognese area, one of the most elegant neighborhoods in town - Via Castiglione, Piazza San Domenico. No need for a car, everything is walking distance - a guarded parking lot, however, is only 300 mts.. The best restaurants, pubs, stores and shops, monuments (Piazza Maggiore, Two Towers, etc.), museums and a great ice cream parlour are literally at a stone's throw. Railroad station: 15 minutes. Giardini Margherita park: 5 minutes. City bus stop: 3 minutes. Cannot find anything more convenient! Check the map.

A little treasure in the heart of Bologna

I stayed with my children for a week in this studio apartment, we truly enjoyed our stay: the property is in the best part of the city, next to the Giardini Margherita (huge park), The Sorbetteria (best ice creams), and all the shops and amenities.
The house is clean, tastefully furnished and looks just refurbished.
The owners were very helpful and attentive to our needs.
I would definately reccomend this property, and I am almost certain I will go back myself!
