The home is located between Scranton and Lake Wallenpaupack and although very private, the home is within 10 minutes of grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies, and fast food and small town restaurants.
Facing the lake, is a large deck which contains a sunken hot tub and a picnic table with benches and plenty of seating. The deck is accessible through 3 separate rooms via sliding glass doors. The large completely level yard contains hammock, tire swing, fire pit and a large picnic table with benches. There is ample outdoor seating to enjoy the lake and the magnificent sunsets. Also outdoors in the level back yard is a basketball hoop and plenty of parking. If raining, there is a small indoor basketball hoop and a ping pong table (inside the garage), as well as many board games, an old Super Nintendo and some left behind dvd's/vhs'.
In the summer, there is so much in the area to do! Fishing, hiking, biking, white water rafting, water skiing/tubing, boating, horse back riding, golfing, swimming, etc. There are many close by state parks/recreational parks with pools and/or lake beaches. There are museums and amazing waterfalls nearby. There are fun water parks and other parks for kids with go-karts, arcades, miniture golf, laser tag, etc. A nearby animal park gets you closer to the very active animals than you can get in a zoo.
In the winter, enjoy sledding behind the house, and ice skating/hockey on the lake. The house is centrally located between major ski resorts (closest is 20 minutes).
The provided dishwasher, microwave, gas grill, and washer/dryer on-site allow you to have more time available to spend doing whatever you like best.
