Like the name implies, we at the Alaska Serenity Lodge believe your travel to Alaska should be worry free and full of true Alaskan Adventure. Perfect for large or small parties, our lodge is impeccably placed at the heart of the Kenai Peninsula in the small fishing town of Soldotna, Alaska. Soldotna is the home of the Kenai River and the keeper of the World Record 97.4 lb King Salmon. Alaska Serenity Lodge sits over looking Denise Lake, a large floatplane lake just 5 minutes from down town Soldotna. We are far enough out of town that you will never hear the traffic but just a few minutes drive from all major amenities in the area. Our log home and surrounding cabins are placed perfectly on the lake to soak up the morning sun and immerse yourself in the Alaskan outdoors.

Sitting on the large decks, one can enjoy the lawn, birch trees, and flowerbeds often visited by moose, squirrels, birds, and rabbits. You can stroll down to the water’s edge and follow the lake’s bank, watching the waterfowl such as Mallards, Loons and Swans. Or grab your pole and try your luck with the Great Northern Pike that have make themselves at home in the lake. Whether you need a peaceful place to lay your head while passing through Soldotna, or you want help filling your vacation with adventure, come and stay with us at Alaska Serenity Lodge. We can help you mix in a combination of Alaskan adventures with your fishing trips, such as Bear Viewing, White Water Rafting Class IV and V Rapids, a Kenai Fjords Tour of Glaciers and abundant Sea Life, and even an 18 Hole Golf Course is just minutes from the Lodge.

About Dave Richardson

We are a family owned business that loves the personal touch. My wife and I along with our young girls have lived, worked and played in Alaska for the last 10 years. We've been lucky enough to experience most of what Alaska has to offer, and now love sharing those adventures with visitors from all over the world. We've traveled all over Alaska and realized that our area has the best of everything. We are centrally located on Kenai Peninsula, which is world renowned for outdoor adventure. Few places in the world can compare to the fishing, hiking, hunting, and exploring that the Soldotna/Kenai areas provide. The world record King Salmon was caught only 3 miles from our front door!

What makes this lodge unique

It's difficult to find a better placed property than Alaska Serenity Lodge. We are perfectly place on a large float plane lake, amongst wilderness and wildlife, but just minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, bars and all other amenities. Our units offer the privacy of being alone in your rental house/cabin but the convenience of the owners being right down the road. This is the true Alaskan experience.

We stayed in the apartment beside the garage and found it very very clean and comfortable. Everything was there that we needed to cook, the linens were very plush and clean and the owners couldn't have been more accommodating. The gas grill was an added benefit that was handy for cooking. I would recommend this to anyone going to the Kenai peninsula for fishing. Location wise, it is very handy and comfortable.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

My friends and I go on a fishing trip once a year to somewhere special. We traveled from California And Washington to Alaska. Alaska Serinity Lodge is the complete experience in travel, rustic in nature, sitting on a private lake, with fly out options, and a variety of guide options. They made sure we had everything from rental car, the best guides in the area, and even options to pack and ship our catch home. They sent us pre trip packages at least 4 months in advance so we coiuld plan on what gear to bring and what to expect in weather, We stayed in the main lodge. It is a combination of rustic in appearence, with all of the modern stuff you could want, including internet, and flat screens, to a fire pit by the lake if you just want to unwind after a big day on the water. The lodge was clean, the interior decorated in local decor--It was perfect in every way. Our hosts, The Richardsons made sure we had everything we needed, and were always available for any special requests.
We are planning our next trip to Alaska Serenity right now-- It was awesome-- oh yea and we caught some monster fish !!

You wanna talk about "making memories"! My family traveled from Oregon to stay and fish in the greatest fishery. We found this semi secluded lodge just outside of the quaint little town of Soldotna. The hospitality was awesome, the fishing was great and the memories I have made with my family will never be forgotten. I am planning my next trip with the lodge owners, but this time instead of 4 days, we are planning on staying two weeks. We had such a great time! Dave and Katie Richardson are the best at what they do. If you are into making family memories, contact them for the stay of a lifetime! P.S. The 132 pounds of salmon fillets made the trip even better!

From the first moment that I arrived to the Serenity Lodge I knew that I was going to have a great trip. The look was exactly what I would picture for an Alaskan lodge. I stayed in the Back Country Cabin which was perfect. I had the ability to cook my own fish in the cabin and relax afterwards down by the quite lake with a cocktail. The accomodations weren't the only thing that impressed me, Dave and Katie were great people. They made me feel more like a visiting friend than a guest. All together I had an amazing time and can't wait to plan my next trip!

I travelled to the Peninsula with my brothers and father for his 70th Birthday for fishing and sightseeing. We had a wonderful trip and the biggest reason was our stay at AK Serenity Lodge. The Richardsons are the perfect hosts. Very friendly and accomodating. The lodge and views are beautiful. It had everything we needed or wanted. Very close to Soldotna - but you feel hundreds of miles away. We will stay there again and reccomend it highly to anyone.
