SEE SPECIAL WINTER-SPRING SHORT-TERM OFFER

Shangri-la offers 5 acres of wooded and water terrain,in addition to a private sandy beach, a quiet private lake with no public access and your own dock and rowboat.

Blueberries, elderberries and strawberries, in season are at your beckon. Trout, bass and pan fishing are excellent. . Waterfowl galore frequest the lake.

Shangri-la delivers pristine unmineralized water from its 265 foot deep well. The kitchen is equipped for a gourmet. Shangri-la has 3 large refrigerators (2 in the large garage), and an automatic diswasher. In the laundry room, a washer, dryer and stationary tubs are an added convenience.

An electric generator serves for power outages.

Insulated for the Adirondack winters Shangri-la is heated by an efficient forced-air furnace. in the summer, the masonry absorbs the heat, but the insulation blocks heat penetration. During the night, the masonry relieves its heat.

Rental Rates for this vacation lodge rental in Old Forge, New York

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • $3500/week (summer)
  • Garage: 23'x24' included.

    The rate through Labor Day is $3500/week USD with $2000.00 security deposit
    additional. The rental fee is due in full with the booking. The security
    deposit is due within 3 weeks of the rental period. We give 2% interest APR
    on both the rental fee and the security deposit.

    CANCELLATION POLICY: Rental fee and security deposit are 100% refundable if
    we are able to rebook for the dates cancelled. Otherwise only the security
    deposit is non-refundable.
  • SPECIAL SHORT-TERM WINTER – SPRING RATES ( applies January 1, 2013 to May 15, 2013)

    Let our recent cancellation be your boon. Rent for five days for the price of four, with each day already discounted. The discounted rate is $500 per day. Book any five consecutive days for only $2000.00. Rent a week for only $2500.00.

  • For the bathrooms and the entire Lodge, the water is pristine, soft and unmineralized. It is provided from a 256 foot deep artesian well. The three bathrooms are ceramic. Shangri-La provides three full-size refrigerator freezers. One is in the kitchen and two are in the garage. The washer, dryer and stationary tubs are in the laundry room for your convenience. There are two fireplaces, one of the dining area and the other facing the great room. Both have powered heat vents. The private library, located in the great room is good for children and adults, with classics as the main focus.
