Moonrise Cottage is located in the lovely beach-side neighborhood of Bravos de Boston and is a block from beautiful La Chata beach on the Atlantic! Located on a 1/2 acre compound, Moonrise is part of the Bravos Beach Cottage compound of three rental units in two buildings, surrounding a swimming pool and gazebo and set amid tropical gardens.
Moonrise Cottage is of newer construction and was designed by well-known architect Stanley Hutchinson. The main living space - Great Room, kitchen, balcony, and one bedroom and bath - are on the second floor, with a second bedroom with ensuite bath and private patio on the first floor. Two loveseats in the living room convert to single beds, especially good for children and bringing the total of guests we can accommodate to 6.
Moonrise is especially nice for couples traveling together, with the bedroom suites very private from each other.
Moonrise can be rented individually or with Sunset (HomeAway 3022922) and Starlight (HomeAway 3022926).
The design and furnishings in Moonrise are contemporary and ideal for Caribbean living. The main living area on the second floor has an open floor plan great room including kitchen, dining area and living room with vaulted ceilings - very comfortable and convenient. Decorated in blues and greens, it's designed for relaxing.
The fully-equipped kitchen with contemporary concrete counters has a huge island with bar seating for 4 - perfect for assistant cooks, as well as spectators! Or if you'd prefer, you can grill poolside by the gazebo on our gas grill.
The living area has comfortable seating and satellite TV, we also have WiFi so you can stay connected! The two comfy loveseats open to single beds, great for There is a treetop-level balcony off the great room with exquisite garden and poolside views - a perfect place to watch the full moon rise if your timing is right!
One bedroom with contemporary teak furniture and queen size bed is just off the great roomits own bathroom en suite. A washer and dryer are also located on this level so pack light - you can do your laundry while you're here!
The second bedroom is a very private haven on the the first floor. It has a King size bed and its own bathroom en suite, along with a private patio opening to the pool area and gardens.
Moonrise is great for two couples traveling together, also great for a family traveling with grandma and grandpa - mom, dad and the kids can sleep upstairs, with the kids on the sleeper sofas, while grandma and grandpa have their own space on the first floor.
The pool area is the outdoor focal point and is shared between the three units. Set amid tropical gardens, you can work on your tan poolside or relax in the gazebo for shelter from the sun. There are ample deck areas to comfortably accommodate many people. The pool is treated by a salt system converter that creates an environment with minimal chlorine - good for your skin, hair and swimsuit.
The gardens are a delight at Bravos Beach Cottages - you are surrounded by mature producing coconut palms, Fiji fan palms, coco plumosa palms, Christmas palms, foxtail palms, prehistoric cycads, orchids naturalized in the surrounding trees, producing bananas and plantains, blooming tropical heliconias, fragrant jasmine and Lady of the Night, bougainvillea, tropical crotons, ixora, pink oleander, giant Bird of Paradise, beach naupaka, hibiscus, dracenas, frothy ferns, many varieties of philodendron and an array of colorful bromeliads. This is a garden that will draw you in to discover the wonders.
