fabulous location!

We are a Dutch family living for a year in the Boston area for work. Apart from work and school, we use this year also to explore New England, and after visits to the Berkshires, New Hampshire, Cape Cod it was now time to explore Vermont. We picked this property because of its location: near Burlington, and overlooking the lake.
From the moment we stepped in the house, we loved it. Our children (5,7,8 and 10) went straight up to the loft (with two double beds and a lot of toys), and we spend an hour on the deck in the first sun of this spring. What a view!
The house itself is very nicely decorated and very comfortable. There were plenty of towels, kitchen utensils and space in and around the house. We loved it. And the hot tub is definitely a huge bonus.
Also surroundings were nice. Lot's to see and do, even in an off season period.
If we would have time left this year, we'd definitely go again.
Owner's Response: Hello,

Thank you for the glowing endorsement. I'm happy your family was able to visit our beautiful state and enjoy everything the lake and Burlington has to offer.

Let me know if there is anything I can do for you in the future.

All I can say is that me and my friends deffinetely did not make a mistake by picking this house for our New Year's Holiday. The house is very comfortable, easy to find and absolutely stunning. From kitchen, to leaving room, the view from the balcony just breath taking. I was in contact with Pearse mostly about anything I needed or had any questions and he always answered promtly. Very pleasant guy that you can trust. I would stay in this house again without a doubt. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.
Sincerely,
Sanja and friends!

Five Star Getaway

5 of 5
Submitted: October 4, 2012 Stayed: September 2012
Close your eyes and imagine turning down a long secluded private drive, the windows are open and you can smell the fresh clean air as it blows through the windows, you can smell the trees, hear the birds chirping and the rustle of nature.
As you round the corner you catch a glimpse of a deer as it scampers deeper into the forest as you turn the next bend you see the geese taking off in flight across the meadow headed south for the winter, about the time you think you have taken a wrong turn or gone to far the road ends at your destination. This will be your first experience as you begin your "Five Star Getaway".

The house has all of the amenities that you could possibly need. If you enjoy cooking the kitchen is fully stocked with modern applianaces and utensils for cooking up the fish that you caught that day off of your own private boat dock. If you are more inclinded to do nothing this is the place to do it. You start the morning on the deck looking out over the beautiful lake with your coffee, followed by sitting on the deck at lunch watching the occasional boat go by, and then you have to make sure that you are on the deck again at sunset. The sunset has to be one of the best we have every seen with the reflection off of the lake as the sun sets behind the mountains. There is plenty of seating on the deck for you and your friends to enjoy this experience while you savor the fresh apple cider and the local cheese.

The family room is very spacious with very comfortable couches and lots of room to streach out for a nap. The loft is very private the way that it is set up, it almost feels like a play room with a guest room off to the side. Our daughter stayed up there and she loved it. The master bedroom was perfect with lots of closet space and its own air conditioning unit. The loft also has its own unit. The bathroom is plenty big and of course it was very nice to have your own washer and dryer on site for those dirty clothes from hiking. The dock was perfect for sitting in your lounge chair and enjoying a little sunshine while reading. The house is very clean with plenty of linens, towels, etc.. This house has been set up perfectly for a get away spot with all that you would possibly need.

This house is off the beaten path but you are still only 10-15 minutes from Burlington. We stayed for 9 days and could have stayed for 9 months. We are looking forward to our next visit to Vermont.

Thank you for sharing your home with us
Owner's Response: Thank you for the detailed review! You really captured the homes unique feel. We are very pleased to be able to share the experience with our guests! Looking forward to your next stay!

Warm regards,
Kyle
