Outstanding Property, Even Better Hosts!

  • 5 of 5
The pictures don't do the property justice; the cabins are cozy and the setting is stunning! We had a wonderful stay -- Linda and Jerry are amazing hosts, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic! Our cabin was well-maintained and better than advertised. We ate most of our meals at the cabin, and made s'mores over the firepit with family. We visited the Sleeping Bear Dunes, the Grand Traverse Bay, wineries and the Old Mission Lighthouse on the Peninsula, took in the air show at the beginning of Cherry Festival week. But many of the highlights of our visit happened at the cabin, fishing for bass and pike in the lake (with the best guide we could ask for), chatting with Jerry and Linda, and relaxing while enjoying some truly stunning sunsets. We're already planning our next visit! :)

Our stay at Bass Lake was Wonderful!! Linda and Jerry couldn't have been nicer or any more accomodating!! The setting is very serene and the cabin was comfortable and clean! What more could one want? And it's a short drive to Interlochen Center for The Arts - We definitely recommend Pine Ridge Resort! A & C

Peaceful and Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5
Our one week stay at northern Michigan's Pine Ridge Lodge outside Interlochen was filled with great memories! The owner is extremely hospitable and accommodating, wanting her guests to have the best time possible. We did everything on our list except make use of the fire pit to enjoy s'mores; we hit a week of 90s so a fire was replaced with more swimming, a drive in to Glen Arbor and a sunset on Lake Michigan. Bass Lake is perfect for a week of kayaking, bass fishing (and nice perch/pike too), swimming and relaxing with a good book. If you want to break up the action then Traverse City is only 20 minutes and Lake Michigan towns like Glen Arbor, Frankfort and Leland are within 30-40 minute drives. Our cabin slept 4 comfortably...during a couple of hot days we even took in a Tiger game on TV. The convenience of the public boat launch two miles up the road made it nice to launch the boat from across the lake (which can be docked right in front of your cabin)! You can even enjoy other lakes in the area as there are many. We bought our groceries at Tom's in Interlochen...a fifteen minute drive from the cabin. So our week was filled with exciting things to do as we enjoyed upper Michigan and each other. Linda (the owner) made us feel welcome and we now consider her a friend! She takes great care of her properties and they are clean and suitable for anybody. The resort is in close proximity to other northern Michigan adventures. Thank you Linda for taking care of my family! The pictures provided here don't do it justice!

Our stay at the Pine Ridge Resort

  • 5 of 5
Our stay at the Pine Ridge Resort was fantastic. The pictures on this website do not do this vacation property justice. The caretaker/owner of the resort was excellent, and all accomodations were provided to us. The quiet setting of the cabins on the lake, far from from the noises of city life and traffic made for a very relaxing stay. The cabin we stayed in was cozy with cable television and a dvd player. The kitchen had everything one would need to cook 3 meals a day for the entire family. The fire pit area with wood chairs provided was also a hit, as our family enjoyed roasting marshmellows every night. The cabin came equipped with a dock for our boat, a pontoon style swim raft, a row boat, and a paddle boat. Life jackets and swim floatation devices were also provided. The lake was one of the quietest lakes I have ever been to that allows boats with motors. I don't recall seeing another boat on the lake during our entire stay, and the boat launch is conveniently located directly across the lake which takes less then 5 minutes to reach the resort docks, and probably 1 mile down the road from the resort driveway.

The swingset on the property also provided something for the kids to do, while the adults were sitting around the fire or BBQing. This property is away from it all, while still only 20 minutes from downtown Traverse City. Parking was also not a problem at all as we had our vehicle, boat and trailer, and still had alot of room for our guests that came to visit.

All in all, one of the best lakeside cabin resorts we have every stayed at, and we can't wait to come back. I wish the place was available in the winter, as we would enjoy staying here to snowmobile and go icefishing.

Check it out, you won't regret it!

Beautiful, Peaceful Get Away

  • 5 of 5
This has to be one of the most peaceful places on earth. The resort is located on a small secluded lake. It is designed as if you have the entire location to yourself. The proprietor has the perfect blend of availability and hands off. The cottage is charming and the fully equipped kitchen lacks for nothing. It was spotless on our arrival, and it has been well maintained and updated. Our children enjoyed swimming and paddle boating in the lake. We also enjoyed the use of the rowboat. We enjoyed eating out in both Interlochen at Buds, and in Traverse City at Bubba's on Front Street.
I recommend this property highly. We liked it so much we arranged for my sister to spend the weekend in a cottage on the property that luckily was available for the weekend. The pictures do not show the true beauty of this property. The sunsets across the lake are spectacular.
