We own and operate a farm in Northcentral Mt. Most of our free time is spent here at Glacier. We enjoy golfing, fishing, and travel.
Kimberly Bouma purchased this cabin in 2009
We have enjoyed spending summers here at West Glacier for 15 years. We purchased the cabin we call 'Gone Fish Inn' from friends in 2009. It is our guest home and is exceptionally well cared for.
'Gone Fish Inn' is within a mile to the Entrance to Glacier National Park. All that Glacier has to offer is out the front door. Fishing, hiking, rafting, and golf are shared with our family and friends.
What a wonderful week we just had enjoying Gone Fish Inn and Glacier National Park. The cabin was immaculate and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Kimberly and Ray were a joy to meet. The cabin was conveniently close to the West Glacier entrance to GNP but on a quiet street near the golf course. Great for evening walks. By far the best vacation rental we've ever stayed in. HIghly recommend!!
We had such a pleasant 5-night stay here and highly recommend this place to others. Kim, thank you for allowing others to enjoy the Glacier area from this convenient and comfortable cabin. We stocked up on groceries and wine on our way through Whitefish and were able to enjoy the back porch each evening with a relaxing dinner cooked on the high quality grill provided.....then we would head out for scenic drives and some Huckleberry pie for dessert....The Highlander was convenient for that and also had a nice breakfast. This cabin is tastefully decorated, very relaxing and comfortable and not missing one thing that you may need during your stay. Kim was available if we needed something, but we had all the privacy we wanted. We do not hesitate to recommend the Gone Fish Inn.
"Gone Fish Inn" met all of our expectations. It was immaculate and the loft bedroom gave it such appeal. We used the grill and got our s'mores. The kitchen had great appliances. Kim went the "extra" mile to make our stay perfect! When the weather wasn't ideal, Kim gave us suggestions for activities. Many thoughtful touches made the stay extra special. The location could not be more convenient to the park. Our family made many wonderful memories at the cabin & at Glacier. The book that the guests make recommendations regarding restaurants and hikes and activities helped us narrow choices and have a great experience. The cabin is cozy and great for games around the table just great family time. Since time with family is so special to us we could not have been more pleased.
Our family of four (2 adults, 2 boys, ages 13 and 11) has rented many VRBOs and we've had great luck with most of them. We are VRBO fans. But walking into the Gone Fish Inn was a whole new experience. It was absolutely immaculate- the cleanest by far we've ever stayed in- and thougtfully laid out. There were so many details-- from local beer in the fridge to guidebooks to a gift bag with local goodies-- we were really amazed at the care that Kiimberly takes in making this rental available. It has to be a lot of work. We were so happy to get to meet her- she is a jack-of-all-trades, but running a guest house is clearly a special talent she possesses- her warmth and love of the area emanates from her. You won't be disappointed with this rental!
This cabin was just as it appeared on the VRBO listing, but it ended up being even more special than it looked. It was incredibly and thoughtfully decorated and everything you could possibly think of to stock the immaculately clean cabin was there! Kimberly and Ray were very helpful and responsive to any questions we had and we would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to spend time in Glacier National Park.
When my husband and I began researching our Glacier National Park vacation we really wanted a cabin on the river. Unfortunately, those were either booked solid, out of our price range, or too far away from the main attractions. Gone Fish Inn had a river nearby--couldn't see it while chillaxing on the porch--but after a couple of hours at this cabin, we didn't miss a full-scale view of that amenity at all. And we quickly found out that by the time you finish a single day at GNP, you're on total beauty-a river runs through it- overload. It was refreshing to come back from a grueling day on the trails to a place that felt like home.
About the cabin-- First, it's adorable. The description and pics are exactly what you'll be getting. No surprises. The home is in a quiet neighborhood, conveniently located to the West park entrance and anything else you could want/need. Landscaping is constantly trim. The cabin is impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. The beds are super-comfy and everything we needed (besides food) was already there. From the welcome gifts to the bears for the kids to play with, to being attentive to every need of their guests, Ray and Kimberly went above and beyond on everything. I can see us staying at Gone Fish Inn during many future GNP vacations!
