Family reunion
Our large family-toddlers to seniors-thoroughly enjoyed our time at Adlerbrook Lodge last summer. We rented both the Lodge and the Chalet. They were both comfortable and spacious. The Lodge kitchen where we did all our cooking, is wonderful, with its professional stove, two refrigerators, dishwasher and enough dishes and pots to service an army! We enjoyed swimming, campfires and star-gazing on the beach, paddling in the paddleboat and just hanging out on the beach and in the screened-in porch, reading. The lake is small enough for pre-teens to get the kayaks we brought and explore on their own. Our six-year-old fisherman would daily kayak out to the swim float and fish. For the adventurous, the in-the- trees Adirondack Extreme ropes course is just down Hendricks Road. Though the village of Bolton Landing is handy enough for grocery shopping, and Lake George Village is only about 30-45 minutes away, Alderbrook Lodge is very private and quiet. The listings and directions were accurate, and our hosts, accomodating. In our week there, weather didn't cooperate as much as we would have liked, and we didn't get to do a fraction of what's possible. We'll be back!
