My dream Vacation turned out to be just that...

Overall our experience was good to excellent. The property was clean ,well maintained and a site to behold, with the ocean , beach and golf nearby. The check in process was efficient. We participated in the fiesta night which was free to the guests and owners. The resort staff were friendly. The activities were fun and we were able to get a discount on some of the excursions because we attended the time share presentation. The free breakfast was also quite nice. Although they say it will only be 75 minutes it turned out to be 3 hours, and they brought in 3 different people to coax you into purchasing so it is quite an ordeal. We ate at one of the restaurants- Girasol's and everyone was satisfied with the service and the Mexican food. If you plan to do some cooking in your unit the kitchen is a little small .We wanted to BBQ one evening and found there are no BBQ's on site. The kitchen was not a full kitchen with only a toaster oven and 2 stove top burners. It had a decent size fridge and a microwave, but no dishwasher. It was , however, adequate for our use. We had 3 children with us plus 1 friend ages 19-25. There was plenty to do at the resort for them. One thing that was a little annoying was the people would get up at 5AM to go and reserve their chairs by the pools. If you didn't come early you were out of luck, but we went to the sand on the beach then. The clientel is generally upscale. There were many international families there during the Christmas break and everyone was easy to talk to.The resort has happy hour rotating throughout the day at different restaurants and bars. We had 4 drinks for $2200 pesos - at one of the pool bars they charge the same price for a Marguerita as a smoothie. I didn't think this was such a deal, but it was a high class resort so I coughed it up, and they were quite tasty. I would definitely go back to this resort. The ambiance was exquisite. The quietness in the mornings and the birds singing in the trees was a unique way to awaken. We left our patio doors wide open on the 2nd and 3rd floor at night so we could hear the nature and look at the stars at night. It was a dream vacation and our family said our best holiday ever.
