Guestbook comments from the owner

Hello Carmen,

I am really sorry for the delay in contacting you. We had a fabulous holiday and absolutely loved your beautiful lodge. Ray was like a seven year old at Disney World, he was so excited! He was almost overwhelmed with the choice of fishing spots. He says it was actually a bit like being on the set of a Disney movie... standing out in the river watching a herd of elk cross over to the other side, a golden eagle swooping across the sky; moose sheltering in the woods from the rain.... and of course the black bear that ambled down and took a drink form the Gallatin, before crossing over to the other side! (Luckily the bear appeared on the last day when Ray was by himself and I was relaxing in your lodge because I probably wouldn't have gone near the river again!) It's a long, long way from life in Belfast!

Kind Regards,

Hilary

Best vacation EVER!

  • 5 of 5
It was indeed a refuge. So serene, by the
North Fork with its beautiful voice. Great place for morning coffee or with a book, even in cold or rain! Inside is totally quiet, we could not hear anything from master bedroom, even with others being rowdy in the main living area. Location is halfway between Bozeman & Yellowstone, perfect for accessing both. Bozeman is spectacular with great, inexpensive eateries and the must-see Museum of the Rockies. Hikes with every distance & degree of difficulty all around the area. Fishing fantastic but be sure to reserve a guide for 4 hrs for maximum fun. If we could, we would buy the home! we have travelled the US extensively

A Real Mountain Refuge!

  • 5 of 5
The cabin was perfect for our family of four! We spent the week skiing at Big Sky and Moonlight Basin and what a treat to come back and relax in a warm, cozy, well stocked cabin. The cabin was immaculate when we arrived and looks brand new! From the gourmet kitchen, to the radiant heated floors, to the steam shower, to the fireplace, to the comfy beds and furniture, to the decor...just perfect! The owner was an absolute pleasure to work with...very responsive and helpful. We can't wait to go back!! Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to stay! ;)

Great Yellowstone Vacation - Beautiful Cabin

  • 5 of 5
The cabin was a great place to rest after a day at Yellowstone. The kitchen is well-stocked, furnishings and amenities are upscale. In the evenings, we enjoyed fishing on the Gallatin River from our porch. We caught a few nice rainbow trout! The steam shower is a plus and the beds are comfy. Carmen is great to work with and was very responsive to our emails. She even added a Crock Pot to the kitchen at our request. There are two grocery markets in Big Sky and check out the Lone Peak Brewery - good bison burgers and beer! We white water rafted down the Gallatin and ziplined across the Gallatin (Montana White Water - not too far from the cabin). Overall, a great vacation. We hated to leave this gorgeous Big Sky cabin.

Owner's Response: I have had the privilege of having the most genuine and thoughtful GUESTS stay at our cabin, which we have named, River's "Refuge". It has been a blessing to me to hear my GUESTS positive comments and I appreciate their time and effort that it takes to write a review and to sign the guest book. Vacations should be wonderful and full of great memories and it is my desire that my Guests have a great experience at our "River's Refuge."

Perfect Big Sky Accomodation

  • 5 of 5
Our family of four had a wonderful stay at this property. The rush of the creek, which is right off of the patio, was beautiful and relaxing. The cabin finish-out and furnishings were high end and everything was brand new or in near new condition. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots/pans, and very nice plates and flatware. Wi-fi and good cellular service kept us connected, while the Blu-ray player and Netflix account provided evening entertainment (however, there was no cable/satellite TV at the time of our stay). The cabin is conveniently located near a gas station and grocery store and is only about six miles from the Big Sky ski area. You will do a lot of driving if you plan to visit Yellowstone Nat’l Park daily though, as the West Yellowstone entrance is about 45 miles from the cabin and the park is huge. We will definitely stay again if we come back to this area.

Owner's Response: The cabin is located between Bozeman and the W. Yellowstone entrance. The pristine city of Bozeman is an attraction as well with the Museum of the Rockies, farmers markets, music on main street,Bozeman Hot Springs, Lewis and Clark Caverns, etc.
